As much as I enjoyed watching Sachin demolish attacks after attacks being an Indian, that same feeling of enjoyment was while watching Shoaib in action, no matter who the opponent was. If cricket will never see another Sachin bat again, for sure it looks like it won't see another Shoaib Akhtar bowl again, ever. Players like these, do not belong to one nation and know no boundaries. They belong to the Cricketing fraternity and are always respected throughout, for their contribution to the game.

The best part of Shoaib was when he ran towards the crease. It was like a bull charging at you. I can just imagine the feeling of a bats men. It was such a delight watching indian cricket with me scolding him on why he doesn't shift to India. Best part is when he hits the bats man and looks with a lot of concern for hurting the person. Such a gem.

I was in small town of India in second standard when he started playing. I remember every boy in the school was trying to copy his bowling style and his style of celebration after taking wicket. Love from India for Shoaib.

i remember shoaib's first test series in south africa. no body knew actually who this guy was or what can he do. i was watching on tv, the speed gun was constantly above 150 kmph over after over. the commentators thought there must be something wrong with the machine and they should replace it LOL!
From India ....I hated Akhtar like anything coz he was too good.....but all heart outs he was and is one of my favourite..... excellent bowler and always a thrill to watch even after so many years.....,only respect, prasies and appreciation to one of the greatest of all time.....a true sportsmen and excellent player of the game....

Shoaib isn't Punjabi he belongs to potohar region which has forcefully been affiliated with Punjab by our stupid politicians. People of Rawalpindi speak a different language and have a different culture than Punjabi culture because I myself belong to Rawalpindi and Shoaib Bhai's house is barely a mile away from my house.

Potohar region was always part of Punjab.I also live in Potohar region close to Gujar Khan.Even Potohari People call themselves Punjabi and their Potohari language (accent of Punjabi) as a Punjabi. Even Haryana and Himachel Pradesh in India was part of Punjab.
@@usmantahir6719 I'm potohari a born rawalpindian back in ayub khans rule people from nwfp demanded that Rawalpindi should be included into their province current day KPK because potohari is more close to hindku language as it is to Punjabi. My culture my language is entirely different than Punjab and KPK so there's no way I'm gonna call myself a Punjabi. I live in Lahore and here people call me kashmiri, when I go to Peshawar and Kashmir they call me Punjabi while I'm neither. Affiliating potohar with Punjab or any other province eradicates the existence of my identity my language and my culture. Hope that makes sense.

The man deserves a lot more than this. The thing that his knees weren't all there with him through out his career makes him a real warrior. As Mr Ganguly once famously said that half a fit Shoaib would be more than capable enough to destroy an opponent.

At 3:40 Shoaib took wicket of Sachin, this event is still fresh in my mind and it seems like it just happened yesterday. It was India vs Pakistan WC 2003 match. 18 years have gone in the blink of an eye, our generation from 80s grew up watching the classic cricket that we usually don't happen to see now. These golden memories will always remain alive in our minds until we die and will always remind us that past was better than present!!

This video reminds me of my school and college days. I used to copy his bowling style, ofcourse not the speed :). No Doubt Shoaib bhai is a bowling legend with deadly speed. His very presence on the field would send shivers down the spine of any batsman. The way he runs from the boundary (one of the longest run-up) and his tossing hair... my goodness.. I have not seen a player of such calibre since then. With the advent of IPL and other tournaments (cricket has become heavily commercialised), i completely lost interest in cricket. I watch only world cup once in 4years. Huge respect to Akhtar Bhai. Love from India, Hyderabad.

I’ve seen him bowl in Sharjah South Africa Australia England but bowling in India in front of a huge patriotic crowd was a sight to never forget - Indian crowd always appreciated Shoaib whether it was in India England or Sharjah - there will never ever be a better rivalry than Shoaib v Tendulkar that was the golden era of cricket
