This artist isn't getting enough credit .. This is better than hyper realistic ... Realistic art can be sterile and boring, afterall, if it looks just like a photo, what input has the artist given it ?? .. This portrait has style, and to me, looks better than a photo - the style is timeless and warm .. Brilliant work

As an artist myself I can truly appreciate this. I prefer pencil as my medium, but have always done just black and white. (white coming from the paper) Very nicely done!
The beauty of art in "Mona Lisa Days" is not about drawing as realistic as it can get. In Da Vinci's period art was completing its establishment as being seen in geometrical ratios, shapes and perspective and entering a period where movement, dramaticisty, depth in colour and symbolism etc. Check how Da Vinci puts the figures in a fully fictional enviroment, how bodies and figures interact with it. How Caravaggio gave the movement effect even to the clothes and the dramatic jmportance of events are reflected in high contrast in their faces. They are Art. This is just a reproduction of a photograph.
It is like, he is a carpenter and details every aspect of a furniture. Gives his hours for the leg of of a sofa for example. He is just making a sofa afterall, Not re-inventing the furniture. All in all this is such a good furniture but can't get close to them

@@ОльгаСемёнова-с7х Все просто, для отработки техники и навыков. Думаю, для художника разницы нет на чем оттачивать мастерство: рисуя портрет девочки, пейзаж или стакан водки. А людей, которые в этом ничего не понимают, это восхищает. Вот и зарабатывают на просмотрах. Кстати, мне тоже нравится. Мои навыки в рисовании это рыбка с ютюба вместе с моей 4-х летней внучкой.

Бесспорно, хорошая работа. Но, как я понял из разных видеоматериалов, это базовые способности. Каждый художник должен уметь так рисовать. Сначала так, потом как хочешь.

@@ОльгаСемёнова-с7х Все просто, для отработки техники и навыков. Думаю, для художника разницы нет на чем оттачивать мастерство: рисуя портрет девочки, пейзаж или стакан водки.
А людей, которые в этом ничего не понимают, это восхищает. Вот и зарабатывают на просмотрах. Кстати, мне тоже нравится. Мои навыки в рисовании это рыбка с ютюба вместе с моей 4-х летней внучкой.

Да, это величайший художник, китайцы прекрасные портретисты, ни руские ни европейцы не способны так рисовать.
