    I don't believe Ted was trying to murder his mother by proxy, nor do I believe the story of her punishing him for masturbation. He brayed a kid over the skull with a branch when on a scout trip and she denied he had a problem. He was arrested for burglary and theft and she denied it. She denied he had 'busy hands' when he was known to grope girls and pull down skirts when in elementary school. She denied the fact that the FBI suspected him of being responsible for potentially 100+ homicides. She adored Ted and never seemed to expect her son to take responsibility or feel shame for anything.

    I’m a mental health nurse and am fascinated by psychopathy. I’m lucky enough to work with great psychiatrists who do allow me to pick their brains. I find Bundy particularly fascinating and understand I do not mean a fan girl in any way. I use these individuals to improve my knowledge. Psychopaths are particularly difficult to deal with and you know they are lying anytime their lips move. I enjoy watching the sort of shows and interviews where the are not glorifying him but explaining facts. I like to reflect on and remember all those beautiful intelligent girls on the cusp of their lives who he so viciously snuffed out. The sad part of any publicity good or bad would make him happy as he loved attention.

    I was very impressed by this interview. I thought I had seen it all regarding Ted Bundy. I have watched lots of TV programs and You Tube videos. I have read Ann Rule's book and many articles about Ted Bundy. I thought this would be duplicitous or just plain bogus/hype. This guy is such an untapped treasure, like a WWII vet.
    I liked how he said that Bundy was killing his mother. I always disagreed that he was repeatedly killing his ex-girlfriend. Everyone says it's the brown hair, straight, and parted in the middle. Everyone wore their hair that way for about 20 years. Girls straightened their hair. Hardly anyone bleached their hair back then, so most girls were brunette. I think some of his victims were blondes, but no one ever mentions that because there were so few. When you consider how they compare to the general population, the number of blonde victims compared to brunette victims represents the population at the time.
    I have always thought that Bundy was killing his mother over and over again. Because he was mad at his grandfather (his mom's father) for his abuse, but was terrified of him, so opted to blame his mom instead. The thing about being caught masturbating by his mom is new to me in everything I've heard about him, but I would imagine every boy is caught by his mom doing this. I think it might have something to do with his becoming a serial killer. Not because he was caught, but because he was already fragile and then became ashamed.
    Anyway, this was great. I could listen to this guy all day for months and years on end, just like a WWII vet. I'd love to hear his stories about people who weren't even notorious. This guy could write an encyclopedia!
    Cheers! Sorry this was so long!

      Bundy showed signs of psycho sexual disturbance at age 3 when he put all the sharp knives in his Aunts bed, all pointing at her....His grandfather was a violent man who abused his wife and daughters and Bundy witnessed all this.......it's also possible he was a product of incestual rape and his grandfather was his father......in that atmosphere and with that genetic connection, it's quite possible his grandfather/father was a psychopath and Ted inherited his genes. Teds mother was so alarmed by how Ted was influenced by the grandfather he worshipped and identified with that she moved away with him to her brothers house in another state.

    How could Mr. Braudis not know that Bundy DID confess to murdering dozens of young women? He wouldn't talk about the two 12 year old girls he killed though. He talked to Dr. James Dobson at length about how porn turned him into killing machine. And just a day or two before he was executed he was interviewed by investigators from Washington and Colorado (maybe other states as well). He confessed to most of the murders he was suspected of, even giving details that only the killer would have known). It was a failed bid to postpone his execution. He enjoyed killing others but did not want to die. No one has ever established what ruse he used on Caryn Campbell to lure her from the hallway at the Wildwood Inn to the parking lot. Many myths and mysteries still surround the Bundy saga. Glad Florida executed the monster.

      Well considering that the history and mental health evaluations were done by Utah Drs its not surprising they would attribute all of his evil.doings from being caught in the middle of such a corrupting act.
      That's far more likely than feeling unwanted, abandoned, and deceived by your sister/mother. Mounting the illegitimacy concerns were those about the status of your stepfather whom you lacked respect for, self induced isolation bc of the social anxiety you had from worrying someone would discover your families truth and traumatic separation from whom you thought were your parents and loved inspire of all the mental illness and physical abuse. Yes, caught surf waxing flipper really is a more plausible motive to kill.
      I also don't think Bundy would have been honest in those evals and most of the public even now doesn't know that many details of his upbringing only his crimes.

    • @tylermills79
      @tylermills79 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It wasn’t just that case he was running from even if it had fallen apart. His Utah arrest finally put him on the map and the weight of all the cases in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and the others in Utah were coming down on him as dots were finally being connected. Even if he beat the Colorado case he was headed right back to jail in Utah were all the rest were waiting their turn. He wasn’t going to beat them all and he knew it. It was murder kidnapping all it was going to take was one to at the very least to put him away for life.

    • @davidimrie6916
      @davidimrie6916 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tylermills79 You bring up a valid point. Utah did place him on the map. However if he stayed put he would have beat the Colorado murder charge and the other states would not have even pursued murder charges. If the other states did have evidence than why not charge him at the time? All the detectives working these cases knew he was damn well guilty. They couldn't legally prove it and Bundy knew it. When Ted was arrested in Utah they did search his car and found a few indistinguishable hairs. When Ted sold his car it was again taken from the new owner and processed in a Utah crime lab and again found nothing. Than Mike Fisher decides to process his car and rents a truck so he could take it back to Colorado for processing and he finds a hair from Caryn Campbell? I find that extremely suspicious. Usually Bundy had respect for the detectives that interviewed him but he hated Fisher. The only other thing was gas credit card receipts that put him in Colorado at the same time as Campbell and that would be downplayed as coincidence. If they had Bundy's name on the register at the Wildwood Inn where Campbell was staying I could see that as solid evidence but they didn't. Obviously they wanted him off the streets and if they had to manufacture evidence to do so I could almost understand. Bundy was an extremely dangerous individual and wherever he went women were murdered.

    I thought we,he got one here when he struggled with his name and explaining the Latin he used like people don't understand much Latin, which in the UK anyway most of us understand the main Latin sayings we use on coins, courts and most our armed forces all have Latin quotes as there mottos, it would be mad for us not to understand at the very least all our boys mottos, i thought you Americans learnt this a little at school, inbetween all the shootings etc,
    Anyway after listening to this old cop wasn't bad, he explained his story's in a good way,
    Showing Bundy the gangster side to him was great to hear, plus him being a ex cop and not loving the death penalty was good to hear, like he said its just state sanctioned murder, spending all their lives in prison is 100× better punishment time to reflect on the bad shit they did, and not forgetting most murderers hate being told what to do every day, and killing them would just end their own pain, that'll end up dead some day anyway,

    • @kasper1146
      @kasper1146 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You aren’t against the death penalty because you prefer that the criminal suffer a prolonged period?
      I though the argument was that it was inhumane and “we do not have the right to kill”, but it isn’t inhumane and we have the right to cause indefinite suffering? That would allow for them to relish daily, and many would rather enjoy their stay.
      That is also a burden on tax payers.
      How are those stabbings in London going?

    Sorry but this dude isnt credible on what he's saying. at around 10:55 he said that investigators visited bundy for an interview shortly before he was put in the chair but that he refused to confess to even one murder & took all his secrets to his grave...WHAT??! dude, bundy openly confessed just days before his execution about his crimes & whereabouts of remains of his victims (its on tape!).. & just hours before his execution also talked at length with dr. Dobson about his crimes & their possible origins (on video)...and thats just common public knowledge...makes me wonder what other facts this guy isnt getting right..or is fabricating? Dumb! This guy seems kinda "off" as it is, anyways.
