Sugoi! (Awesome!)
It sure was
That is an awesome Toto rimless swirly doing a better job than any similar terlit we have here in the USA. Know why? The water is pump pressure controlled from the tank, not by gravity control alone as they are here. They are using a lot more water than 1.28 gpf. No need for a brush or wand bidet for bowl rinse.
These toilets use very little water actually.
my toilet hydra is clogged and it's really clogged this was yesterday and we still haven't unclogged it yet
Hydras aren't exactly known for being good performers.
Which honestly isn't a surprise when the trapway looks like the way it is.
We now got it unclogged
@@kingcraftgames.985 we are replacing our toilets soon
The japanese/korean/chinese style toto squatting toilet is awesome and rather interesting. The washdown toilet is also pretty quirky due to it being siphonic on which i WAS NOT expecting. Honestly, i feel like the washdown is basically an aquia except slightly restyled with a rimless design and has a different tank. The urinals however, while original, are just meh. I do like how the restroom looks though like the asian style 80's look to it with the small tiles everywhere is cool and it's especially unique on the way they choose the colours of the urinals cuz beige is certainly...an interesting choice.
Rating:
Toto C755V squatting toilet: 9/10.
Possibly the 2010's (i could be wrong though) Toto CS490BD washdown: 6,75/10.
Toto U37 urinals: 5/10.
That CS490 was a surprise, especially since I filmed several of them earlier in the trip and not a single other one siphoned that I can remember. As for the squat toilet, I think those are pretty cool too.
Mitsubishi Jet Towel Mini
How was the food though btw ?(like the ramen/sushi etc.) Also ik this is unrelated nut did you shop for any street food there?
I loved the food there. I got stuff like ramen, pork cutlets, sushi, all that good stuff. Oh, and the candy and sodas are amazing too.
All squat toilets must be washdowns. Interesting Asian restroom.
I've seen a couple siphonic squat toilets. They are not as common but I believe I've posted one.
this is how they should flush, the siphon is very cool. i hate when toilets don’t siphon.
It would be nice if they all siphoned like this.
Never seen Toto toilets in the 1980s😂
Believe it or not, they've been around since 1917! They only started marketing in the US in 1989 when the Reliance came out.
Interesting Japanese restroom - unusual auto flushometers on the Toto urinals and the bidet on the normal toilet (it appears to be another washdown but it has small siphon during the flush). The old squat toilet is interesting, very impractical for use as a toilet but for a urinal it is great (and private in a stall if you like your privacy).
I'll try to keep this as family-friendly as possible, but using a squat toilet as a urinal as a bad idea. Your "stream" as I'll call it has further to go so when it hits the toilet, it splashes quite a lot so you would probably want to be in the squatting position no matter what you do.
To put it simply I am not a huge fan of the squat toilet as when I was a kid (in 1989/90) visiting Italy I visited a restroom that had old squat toilets and because I could not balance on the foot plates to squat I fell into it so that's why the idea of squatting is no good for me (other than standing at the front of it for use as a urinal - despite that being rather impractical too). However they are interesting from a cultural perspective!
Meh fixtures.
It would be great to see one of the old siphonic Totos here.
Like the urinals
I like their style
What type of senser is this thing?
A terrible annoying one.
Oh so that’s why thoses are well that’s a 3/10 on both sensors
But the Toto toilet is
Everything is great except for the sQuAt ToIlEt
It's not suitable for the very tall, in my opinion
What's wrong with that? It seems to work fine.
Very interesting Toto fixtures and a Mitsubishi hand dryer, the flushometer on the urinals look very interesting and the squat toilet is rather a little strange and weird. I wouldn’t be comfortable using a squat toilet though I like the Bidet on the Toto toilet
Squat toilets are healthier and easier to use but it would be quite an adjustment for a Westerner to use one. As for people with bad knees, they would not be easier to use.
As an asian, i can see why for westerner's it's a rather strange toilet to them due to how you actually use the toilet while taking a buisness. Like for some people squatting down seems a bit uncomfortable for them (although it is healthier and like occ said a lot simpler to use and easier to clean). Although with that said i personally don't have any issues with this especially when i have a brown toto squatting toilet back at my home.
Also, the outlet next to water fixtures kinda makes me say, nope.
That's for a bidet
@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations Yea, I know that's a butt washer lol
Eh, theyre alright
I like the old stuff
Truly epic bathroom!
And what's better is there were more!
Eh
I filmed some other floors in this building and there were different fixtures in a few of them.
1:53 IS THAT POOP SMEARED ON THE WALL 🤢🤢🤢🤢
It's old glue from a sticker
I wonder if that toilet is supposed to siphon
I doubt it but I imagine it replaced a squat toilet so there's probably an extra trap somewhere below the floor, causing it to siphon.
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations Not necessarily, they actually do make siphonic toilets with water level that low.
