I don't have any leaks with mine but there is a lot of calcium in my water supply which crusts up the female connector release slide.

the leaks I had were from the replacement end on my hose, I fully expected the couplers to leak but they did not leak any - thanks for subscribing!

Thank you for this, I recommend teflon tape to get a better seal on all the threads. Don’t overdo it though, should work beautiful for anyone with a leak issue

the water seal on a garden hose is the inside rubber washer, if you have to use teflon tape to get a water seal, the washer probably needs to be replaced, thanks for subscribing!

I have several sets of these from Harbor Freight and I have some from Home Depot etc. I don't see a big difference in performance. If they leak it is probably because of the rubber washer fitting. Overall the Harbor Freight are the best value IMO.

if you watch the video, i showed where the my hose will not allow the adapter to be full seated in the hose end because of the replacement end I have on the hose, and I also show where this would not affect a normal hose - I fully expected them to lead because of the loose coupler, but found to not be the case - thanks for subscribing!

What I don't like about these is that, in a 6-piece package, you only get 2 sets.
I don't have a bunch of hoses that I need to swap around, but I do have 4 hoses that have to be disconnected every 2 weeks so that the lawn can get mowed. AND, if you have two connections in one hose that need the disconnect, then that's $8 for that one hose alone, as you showed in the video.
So, now I have spent $24 and have a half dozen male connectors in my tool bin doing nothing. I wish I could buy a 6-pack of female connectors in order to put them to use.
In my case, I have a splitter from my hose connection that feeds a 4-way manifold through a 5 foot lead-in, and I have 4 hoses on that manifold that I want to disconnect separately, so that I don't keep having to wind up two sets of hoses along with the manifold and 5 foot lead-in hose.
OTOH, I don't seem to have the leakage problem that you do, so that's a plus. I don't use tools to tighten these on. I just use some good cut-resistant gloves.

I agree on the count, I am assuming these were sold in groupings for a specific use, the only problem is, there are multiple use cases - starts to get expensive to use if you need a different use case - thanks for subscribing!

Have you tried the blue Niagara hose nozzle? It has a little slide lever that you use your thumb with to adjust the pressure. That’s my favorite nozzle I’ve ever gotten from anywhere.

I just did a video last night, I have to redo part of it, I did it too close to night time - if you watch the end of the garden hose quick disconnect video, I'm using the niagara nozzle - I think it's great, I like it so much, I'm getting another so I'll have one for front and back of the house

It’s the 8 pattern thumb control one not the fireman’s one. Unless I’m missing it.

so i watched until the end of the video. would putting a different rubber washer fix the leak issue?

I really don't think a different or 'better'? washer would fix the leak issue, it seems to be a standard size rubber washer and a little tighter seems to work ok - thanks for subscribing!

Hey I'm really late to this video, I'm very new to quick connects etc, what size are these? 3/4 or 5/8? Much appreciated if you could help as its not stated on packaging

never too for a question on my videos - these are made for a hose with a 3/4" fittings, 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4" hose all use a 3/4" fitting, which is a standard size for an outside water faucet - odd but fittings don't always match the hose size, same thing for air hoses, most fittings are 1/4" and common hose sizes are 1/4" 3/8" and 1/2"- thank for subscribing!

@SnapWhole Harbor Freight Reviews Thank you for the information and response, makes sense now, I got mine setup and figured out, they leaked at first a little but I may have overtightened, loosened up a little and they work a treat now with no issue. Have a blessed day!

over tighening std garden hose female end with rubber washer in it will crush washer and cause to leak. garden hoses are designed to be connected by hand, not with channel locks, make sure hose washer is good, not hard and brittle

the rubber washes are designed to be replaced when no longer functional, and hand tightening water hoses is rarely enough to keep them from leading, thanks for offering another opinion for viewers - thanks for subscribing!
