super-cool older brother brought this album home. I waited for him to go out somewhere, then brought it into my room to listen on my stereo. I had never heard anything like this. I wasn't a fan of instrumentals, but this was indefinably wonderful. It produces the same effect in me today as it did the first time: peace and calm and wonder. My brother came home when I was in a trance, listening to this a second time. He gave me a withering frown, and told me, "Get your own copy." So I did. I saved my babysitting money, and went to the record store for the album, and played this so many times that the crackles from wearing out the vinyl became a part of the song. When I listen to this, my heartbeat slows; the peace and wonder at its beauty relaxes me and gives me joy.

Cathy Cathy oh girl, allow me inside your bedroom window again and again. It just so happened she was so very bad at math in junior high school so her mother would pay me $5 to tutor her so she could be able finish her homework. Then after she paid me, I'd climb back in her window and we'd whisper accordingly. 1973 was our year, and her little bottom was so very "cushy" in my hands, her pink lips so soft and willing, and her tongue so happy to be playing together with my own. Brown-eyes, brown-haired girl, you haven't aged a single moment, let alone a whole day or week. I still love you Cathy Boyer. I can see your face and eyes right now even. ❤💔❤ How did it get to be this "2024"? Why did time have to march on? Why does time fly like an arrow? Why can't time not be so cruel? We were supposed to last forever and ever, me, you and all of our friends. Close your eyes and think about Yosemite Park in Eagle Rock. I will if you promise me you will too. Open your eyes and I'll be there.

I can still remember, one friday (pay day) I got on my motorbike and rode to the record store to buy this album, put it on the turntable, and played it all weekend. Thank you for sharing perhaps the best rock/jazz sounds ever.
I was 14 but all that struck me was the innovation of the music and the voice. I’d played around on all kinds of instruments by that time but this was on a whole new level. Even my Mum didn’t mind me playing their records out loud, they gave us both a strength somehow
i don't know where you're from (I'm from rome) and how old you are but the feeling is just the same, I heard them first when I was 13 (now I'm 65, sigh), lended by a generous older fellow. But my mother didn't like it (too much "badabam badabam", she said) but tolerated
@@marprox3605 I'm a few years younger than you (48 y/o) My mom married this biker type guy who hated me, but I was going thru his stuff in his attic one day and found an old box of vinyl from the 60s, 70's, 80's and the entire LedZep catalogue was there, in original vinyl and jackets. This was '91, '92 and music was terrible, it was bf the 90s breakout in music got going. Pfff... I worked at a new and used record store in a small city in the 80's. I'll never forget when a hayseed walked in. He looked around for maybe 5 minutes, and then walked straight up to the counter. He said, "Man. You don't have any Zeppelin?" I kinda knew I was working with a mental giant... We had about 50 live bootlegs, and all of the albums. So I kindly asked him, "Did you look under "L"?" GO ZEPPELIN!!!!
now this album changed rock as we all know it today as its all blues rock and the bass on the whole album is still the best debut albums in the world thank you led zeppelin for all you music influence
Jimi Hendrix and Clapton, first with The Blues breakers, and then, with Cream, had already taken the BLUES to a much higher level. LZ wrote their own style of songs... But as far as BLUES is concerned, they brought nothing new
@@pabloperez4063 those talents you mentioned are legendary. But pairing the voice of Robert plant with the talent and pure genius of Jimmy page cannot be matched. The only one In my book that stands beside them is Stevie Ray Vaughn. Clapton got the nickname slow hand because he was in a band with Page. And as part of the British music invasion. "Yardbirds" Alvin Lee Santana and many others were instrumental in bringing blues rock to the future. None of them can match Page and plant.
Mark Campbell john Paul Jones and Jonh Bonham were magic together. And the anchor for in my opinion one of the best group of performers to ever share their talent. Your comments was well said

Led Zep was the music of my youth. Now it is my music to spur me through my work out to keep my youth.
1 - Good Times Bad Times 0:00
In the days of my youth, I was told what it means to be a man
Now I've reached that age, I've tried to do all those things the best I can
No matter how I try, I find my way into the same old jam
Good Times, Bad Times, you know I've had my share
When my woman left home for a brown eyed man
Well, I still don't seem to care
Sixteen, I fell in love with a girl as sweet as could be
It only took a couple of days 'til she was rid of me
She swore that she would be all mine and love me till the end
But when I whispered in her ear, I lost another friend, oooh
I know what it means to be alone, I sure do wish I was at home
I don't care what the neighbors say, I'm gonna love you each and every day
You can feel the beat within my heart
Realize, sweet babe, we ain't ever gonna part

Che nostalgia! Storico & grandioso LP. Zep fenomenali!!!!!... Blues strepitosi!!!!!!. Veri M I T I...
One of their best albums. First heard at a record store Monterey, CA spring of 1969. Then saw them at Winterland 11/69 with Wolfgang and Isaac Hayes. Those were the days and will always be a rocker at 75. Thanks for the music.
it's been a some time...at 64 this still rocks!!!

LZ lll
Rosie Rosie oh girl, steal away steal away. It just so happened that my girlfriend in boarding school, her name was Rosie. We had to sneak her out of that dormitory in the middle of the night. This song was our song !!! ❤❤❤ Woodstock Nation
Exelente..tengo 60 años.
Pero banda favorita desde que tenía
18.
Exelente banda
He visto tres veces.la película
Grew with my dad listing to zeppelin. When this album was released I was 6. Zep Head for life.
What rock musician hasnt ripped off ZEPPELIN...the cosmos aligned right with these 4 lads...I m sure the Beatles and stones heard them and went. Oh Fuck..
That’s ironic
It might be true The Beatles broke up around 1970, but The Stones were like, fuck it let’s go
Zeppelin and The Beatles weren't really around at the same time (but I don't think Abbey Road was Zeppelin-influenced). But The Stones...
I see some Who influence in here.Jimmy and Pete were contemporaries and buddies.
Absolute Classic rock n roll Masterpiece!! ❤❤❤Blessed
This song is so good it defies words... like the bliss when you first find your faith in whatever and you know its true.
This is Brilliant.
Well all led Zep is Brilliant.
This songs gives John p Jones a significant role. Plants vocals heartfelt, powerful, beautiful and subtle at times.
Awesome ❤❤
I can still remember, one friday (pay day) I got on my motorbike and rode to the record store to buy this album, put it on the turntable, and played it all weekend. Thank you for sharing perhaps the best rock/jazz sounds ever.
LZ is like good wine, with age, it’s only getting better. ❤️🩹
For decades, the Stones was my top band, but now that I'm in my 70s, Zeppelin is coming out ahead.
The Rolling Stones music is way too simple to be a top band...
The first album is the best . Simple songs like hymns , with powerful sound, never heard before
In music history.
To samo z deep purple i rock😂
Or since
Classic Zep masterpiece.
WHOOOOOO, THAT'S ALL I,V GOT TO SAY ABOUT IT. PEACE TO YOU ALL AND MAY THE NEW YEAR BE GOOD FOR YOU ALL MY FRIEND'S. ✌️😎🏴
Led Zeppelin is a band that can take you to any world!
Imagination runs free!
if U lucky you saw them do this LIVE.
Amazing!!
I found LedZep Warren Zevon, Simon & Garfunkel, The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, EL&P, and so many more in that big box of LPs.
@@allhopeabandon7831 my records from rhe seventies are on a shelf and some of them is exposed in my studio, becsuse of the gorgeous sleeves (Yes, Genesis). My elder daugther says that she has a 'heritage privilege' on them because she is the first born. Her sister doesn't agree...
Magic can definitely offer strength.
I will be 70 in a matter of weeks and I still listen to Zepplin everyday.
Do you party?
"Everyday" Golly.
Cool man.
At my 73 I still have to recognize them as the best of the best
Led Zeppelin remasterd sounds even beter now
Real rock history a must have for everybody
So glad I ran on to this channel. Lot of good stuff here. Thanx Brother
Listened to this almost daily circa Great songs, memories, times--
Bought this vinyl when it came out..got to see them live from 3rd row April 1970 in Memphis
Blues dragged kicking and screaming into the Electronic Age. Fabulous.
I believe that the blues rejoice the electric versions because if you enjoy this you will search for the original version
If you enjoy the electric blues and curiosity scratches your head you will search out the blue artists that influenced Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin became an overnight sucess with his record . The only overnight sucess in my lifetime was Van Halens first album. Bothe deserve it!!
Van Halen's first album changed music forever............
Oh Please!
But who listens to van Halen today? No one, even radio don't play em

There are certain 80’s songs that give me an overwhelmingly painful and bittersweet sense of nostalgia. This is definitely one of them
LED ZEPPELIN is my life for the past 40 years and always
The song Dazed and Confused is absolutely timeless, that one and When the Levee Breaks.
This is my favorite Led Zeppelin album, blues/rock doesn’t get better than that 💯% 😎🎤🎸🥁🎼🎵🎶This album never gets old ❤️❤️❤️Led Zeppelin and Queen are my favorite rock ‘n’ roll artists to this day ❤❤❤❤

Epic Acid Trippin Music Guys!
Thank you for being!
I've always liked LZ. But, here recently, I REALLY LIKE 'EM!!!!
I heard it ,in it's entirety, when it was leaked on Houston's late great KFMK November '68 .along with Tull's "This Was".
So I kindly asked him, "Did you look under "L"?"
GO ZEPPELIN!!!!
Back then, now here shows us how short life is Rock on!
Bonzo, you were one of the reasons I took to the drums. Not to mention, Charlie watts. Two amazing drummers 😊
I’m 65 nyc there was nothing like zeppelin coming to the garden, we spent the entire day preparing for the show. Long live rock and roll
now this album changed rock as we all know it today as its all blues rock and the bass on the whole album is still the best debut albums in the world thank you led zeppelin for all you music influence
Your comments was well said
Most definitely top 10 greatest albums of all time a lot of which has to do with the sheer influence of everything to follow.
Grew up in southern West Virginia and when I listened to Led Zeppelin, my neighbors across the holler did too.
I love this song I remember it when I was a younger man excellent 👌 👏
Thankfully its not illegal to hit this hard in The First song of the First álbum of what became one of the greatests of all time.
That's funny
The voice of Robert Plant since that time never changed.
When God wanted a band, He made Led Zeppelin. Thread over.
And when the Devil wanted one, he made Black Sabbath
I was in complete awe when I first heard this in the 60’s, and remain so today! Just totally f’n awesome… incomparable!
I was not sure if I would like the records mastered vinyls . I was totaly wrong . its great . I just purchased the second album re mastered. Jimmy page did a great in re mastering the clasics .if your a old timer and think the old vinyl is better you have to give it a listen . it's so crisp and clear . even on a 50 year old steel system. I'm just old . thanks
