Love Arcadia, best place to stop on I-20 or Highway 80 for a quick snack or gas. Nice little town, has tons of fast food and stuff on the main drag when you get off I-20 after a long drive. If you go to the other side of Arcadia across the bride over I-20 (the side with the new court house) the Gap Farms travel center has great restrooms, nice convenience store/ restaurant and right down the road we almost never skip going to La-Fogata Mexican restaurant if it’s dinner time, some of the best Mexican food I’ve found, been there no joke at least 50 times. This comment might be a little rambling but I’ve just stopped here so many times, great meeting point to meet with family who live far ways and it’s also the exit to get to a lot of family way out in the country.
Personally, as a resident, I hate this town immensely as well as the Mayor who has done nothing but ruin the town further and disintegrate any semblance of law enforcement since 2018.
I have lived on this road all my life...even went by my house in this video. I was looking for me to drive by, but no luck. At the 5:35 mark, this bridge over the KCS mainline was built in 1948...72 years ago!! I have a feeling that when they do replace this bridge, they will straighten the S-curve as well. I think that is sad, as I believe that bridges like this give the old road its character. Great video as always. 👍👍🍻
Don't expect too much, it's simple.living with decent people just trying to make a living. My kinda lifestyle, rural, country and plenty of red clay to slip around in.
It's down on LA 154 south of Gibsland. Clinching all 53 miles of LA 154 from US 71 to Athens, LA will capture that. There is also a new Bonnie & Clyde ambush marker (right next to the old one) if you haven't seen that one yet.

Never been to Louisiana. Maybe I will go one day.
Come on down. There's lots to see.
