Ok for Big L, u gotta do the '98 freestyle, the freestyle with Jay Z, Devil's Son, Put It On, All Black, Da Graveyard, Danger Zone, and Let Em Have It L. I'm really hoping u do more Big L. He would've gone down as arguably the GOAT if he was alive
This song is dope but there are many other songs that can serve as a better introduction to Big L. I’m aware that you did Shyheim’s “Furious Anger” featuring Big L but there are way better songs to introduce him as a solo artists. Side note: There’s a real dope Big L freestyle from the Stretch Armstrong and Bobito show. Big L and Jay-Z go back and forth freestyling but Jay-Z was still rather green. Big L was the highlight. They go for about 8 minutes.
lifestylz ov da poor and dangerous is a great album , shyheim and big l - furious anger , da graveyard is one of my favourites with an ensemble features a young Jay-Z and L in my opinion blows him away
Frodo man you have to react to Busta Rhymes and Eminem "calm down". It has everything you like about hip hop so far the craziest rhyme schemes, references delivery and beat in one song.
IMO, its a weird space between musicianship/playing instruments and getting that all together versus DJing and looking for those beats to put together to create a song/sampling portions from all other genres of music and putting it together to using a computer (et. all) to create beats/sounds and put it all together... not everybody can do it, not everybody can do it well, and I'd argue all of it it is equally hard. I do think that by format, rap will always have the most lyrics in a song and can kind of go deeper via that route but I think all genres can have deep, meaningful lyrics for what they intend to create. Lastly, every genre covers the same topics--its the delivery of message that is different... I mean the rapper bragging about his car ect. is the same thing as the country guy bragging about his truck... Everyone touches love, drugs, alcohol, sex, crime, loss, joy, politics ect...
HipHop has a lot of love songs but they aren't the popular. I recommend RZA ft Xavier Naidoo - Ive never seen Ll Cool J was the lover emcee. I also recommend Ghostdini album which ghostface did sort of an RnB album check Baby, also La la ooh from the Pretty Toney album and even some Common The Light and I want you.
Big L has talent with his lyricism and flow, but he lacks substance. He’s a one trick pony with his lyrical content, and it gets a bit repetitive. I think that’s why he never became a big artist in Hip Hop.
I wish ppl would stop recommending nerd backpack rap to hip hop novices. There are plenty of other songs that can help ease new listeners in. The super lyrical stuff isn’t for everybody Stick to the hits!

I'm not even sure how this is one of his "best songs"..mediocre..for Big L..
I wish ppl would stop recommending nerd backpack rap to hip hop novices. There are plenty of other songs that can help ease new listeners in. The super lyrical stuff isn’t for everybody
Stick to the hits!
I don't think this channel is meant to be for everybody. It's for those who can appreciate dope beats and lyrics, just like Frodo.
Frodo stated many times that he likes the super lyrical stuff though.
Big L - Put it on
