If I am a cartoonist, I would just remake the Dick Tracy Show into a better version one day, I got the idea from Tim Burton, this is why I love Tim Burton, I was in to Dumbo because he's gonna remake his movie. Old cartoons are better to me. Go Go Gomez runs like Speedy Gonzalez.
I actually have an idea for a fanfic about this show that would address this. I decided to make it that the reason the show is the way it is is because it is from an outsider's perspective, namely the people in the town. Which is also why the main characters are all stereotypes (even the European ones, they technically are too) since that is how the town sees them. And in the fanfic they are all normal people (Hemlock Holmes will be a human as well).
I just thought of something: the chief never does anything either! He just calls Tracy, who then does nothing as well. Except call one of his friends to do something. Oh, and show up at the end, when all the work is done, and say “Good work, gang!”. How would he know?
The Mole character's voice sounds like Mickey Mouse's friend, Goofy. As for Sketch Paree, I think his voice was supposed to be based on some French actor, but I'm not sure which one. I also noticed that when Dick Tracy is riding in the police car, the driver's face is always in silhouette and is never shown. Why is that?

This is a parody. Depends on your knowing who Mr. Moto is, Peter Lorre, etc. Also, the plots are parodies of detective stories. Yet seems aimed at kids too. I think they were trying to make a show to appeal to all the family, and fell between two stools. in thecomic strip, the villains were strange. I think the show makers decided to have strange cops too! Only as good guys. This being parody, I think they thought that would work.
Forget Madonna. What the movie needed was Go Go Gomez.

There are multiple Crimestopper Tips but there aren't 130 of them. There were much fewer but a lot of them were reused for multiple episodes.
