    There is so much a person needs to know, that has been lost to time and forgotten. I never knew about Hag Stones, but I do now and will keep my eyes open when I can look for one. Really enjoyed hearing about those. Take care and stay safe.

    Hello Rachel, thank you for this fascinating information. I’m forever picking up rocks and pebbles and when I move rocks to my house I always ask permission to take them. I will be on the look out for a Hag stone now in the waterways that I regularly visit. Take care.

      I actually thought of that... antique or not? I suppose if it had ancient markings on it that it would be historical or an antiquity. I just never came across one doing appraisals on estate items. Maybe if there were any in these many estates I appraised, they were kept in the family.

    This is so timely for me because today I took a walk with a beautiful soul into the woods behind her house. There is a creek there that is quite dry though there is still some water flowing. We were able to walk out onto the bigger rocks (flat limestone rocks) . I observed a hag stone while doing this but I didn't say anything because we were connecting in other ways, such as connecting with the local Forest People.

    Very cool Rachel. I’m so glad you shared this.
    I have collected these since I was very young, but the most finds Hell’s Canyon along the river. It was on I non-excavated property we owned that lay just down river from the Nez Pierce crossing, and there in lay the signs of the ancestors. My gosh it was spiritual for me.
    I was so connected there. I would walk alone and speak to the ancient ones, “please show me your ways and tools and signs” sure enough... it was like they floated up.
    I found many gems and many there. I always wear one on my medicine pouch . They are all over the house.

    I found a hag stone that was meant for me. Right before I moved into an apartment my friend ask me to a 3 day music fest about 150 miles from where I live. It was a hot summer and we decided to go to the river for a swim. There it was. I thought it was an artifact. I brought it home and showed it to a friend, she knew what it was,. I started to research its spiritual properties. One of its powers keep the dead spirits away. It has served me well since my apartment is next to a funeral home and a crematorium. I'm happy for the universal gift.

    I do have a question, for anyone who can answer I have come across two stones with natural occurring holes in them, however they were not made by robbing of the sea like others but they actually were grown.
    The stones I have are crystals and it looks simply like when they grew they formed a natural circle or hole, do they count? As it said it was a naturally occurring hole, and therefore without a doubt formed naturally, but they were not worn away like the others so do they still count?

    • @intotheveil1113
      @intotheveil1113  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I personally would consider those to be exceptional finds! And, yes, I’d say they count, although I’m not certain of the hole’s form-still very special

      @@intotheveil1113 The first one was on a beach,With a hole in it, but as I looked through the whole I saw the interior was walled with crystals meaning they formed the initial hole.
      The second one I found in a field, packed in with earth. And as I started to clean it there was a dark spot which went deeper and deeper. And as the last of the Earth was cleared away I realised it was a perfect hole going straight through the crystals, again naturally formed by crystal growth but not worn away by the sea. They’re not perfect circles but they are never the less holes I can see right through.

    2 years ago Rachel I lived at the south coast 🇬🇧.. I couldn’t believe it when you mentioned about those stones Hagstones is it?
    I used to find many of them on the stoney beech, and most were a whiteish colour and so smooth..
    I did take a couple back to my ex’s, but left them 🙄😂
    I was impressed by the hole, but a man told me on the beech that some little creature in the sea burrows through the stones.. Didn’t quite resonate with me.
