We have two 2015 zks with Kohler 29hp efi, 52" cut. I've always used Kawasaki motors. We love the speed, cut, and the comfortable ride. I've had back surgery in the past and they don't hurt my back. Easy on and off.
Idk man I bought a z3x ferris in 2015 it had 4500 hrs on it 2 yrs ago and it was all original I called the dealer they took it in and ferris bought it back for full price and gave me a new one for free it was oe and only thing I had to change was fluids and 2 batteries over the time and 6 sets of rear tires thats it. We estimate it drank about 800 barrels of fuel in that time frame and it was the 37hp and oil gaurd system
Jonny G I have about 400 hours on the efi right now. So far so good, it’s my first efi mower. My wright standers were my first mowers I ever bought new I always used old Exmark zero turns I bought used in the past
@@tylersvideoproduction8603 I've heard the new ones hold up well. But I'm a big fan of carbureted because its simple. Eyeing up a wright mower currently though
Good vid. You need to test out the Ferris ZR3 61 inch stander, before saying there is no comparison. Suspension is better on the Ferris, and with the 37 hp FI engine with the 500hr oil guard system maintenance time is way less. Deck cut is great as well. Blessings
Do you charge a higher price if the lawn gets over grown due to circumstances out of your control, such as a full week of rain or a customer cancelling a service one week?
Nice machines I own the 61 37hp ,36 intensity and a toro 33" I can fit all this in a 6x12 enclosed trailes whit 2 weed eater and 2 blowers on the side walls very compact mowers .
No idea, never had a mower that long. My Grandstand has 1400 hours on it and still doing good. Just had a couple of minor hydro leaks but one was still covered under warranty at the time. But I would imagine 2000 hours is getting up there for any commercial mower...
I have a scag vride 2 61in 29 hp efi. Bought it last year 375 hours on it no issues. I really like the cut quality and discharge of deck. Good speed at 10.5 mph. I would like to Demo a wright like you demoed unfortunately my dealer doesnt sell them and nearest dealer is 40 miles away.
I want to see the mowers in a dandy lion, Johnson grass and a onion cutting contest. My yard it too big to plant turf. So far I've not seen any mower cut that stuff all the way down on the first pass. All the commercial mowers cut manicured lawns well!
Stuck with the Grandstand because it is 895lbs vs. 1035lbs In the soupy spring and fall that makes a difference to us. I loved the ZK but it was more harsh on the turf in our conditions. =/
@bofkaycee Glad it works for you, but the heavier machines just dont hold hills without the damage I am trying to avoid. Its 2020, ALL these machines are 20% too heavy imho including trim mowers...theyre still in at the 120+ lb level lol Its crazy.
Great mower, should have got with the EFI Kohler. I picked one up last Spring. Downside with Wright is you can not push big piles of leaves. So, we still run Toro Grand stands. The wright is not as good on hills as I thought would be with such a tight footprint and lower center of gravity. Does not want to tip, just traction is crap. But for comfort, wright is awesome. Instant response in controls.
Thanks for watching. I said this was a demo though and this one is good on hills, it's the ZK model. The other lower models are not as good on hills...
That was my mower of choice. But went with the ProStance 52. Wright was 1.5 hour drive & Mow The Distance Promotion got me on a Gravely at 7K. Gravely is huge in North Central Alabama. Love it. Gravely Nailed It. But the ZK will remain on my wish list 😁 Thank you Naylor 👊 Appreciate you 👍
You need to get a Ferris Z3X 61" with the 37hp Vanguard/oil guard system. That is the only mower that is a good comparison "apples to apples. The Z3X is better in many ways, even though the Wright is pretty good.
Why cutting the grass towards the street. Hope you don’t leave it on the street, that’s messed up. I rather cut towards the house. Well it’s ok just for demonstrations but you need to blow that later.
Yes, I blow everything off. You have to go in different directions if you want to stripe properly, and you're going to face the road, driveway, and sidewalk at some point. That's why we blow everything off when we're done.👍
sounds like you were falling in love with the wright. I have a Toro like you and find I like the platform on Toro better just what you said more free to shift side to side. Would love it if you check my channel out. Been watching you and others for years and just started uploading this year.
You heard but I tried... For weeks 🤷♂️ I'm sure it was a personal preference you heard like Chevy vs Ford. I put super high lift blades on and it cut like my Toro turbo force decks 🤙
I would like try a wright but we do not have any stocking dealers here we have dealers that are in there net work but they do not stock any of them. I called and talked to the people at wright and they said they didn't sell well around here is why the dealers stopped stocking them. I'M not going to buy any piece of equipment that is not stocked because if they dont stoick they want have parts in stock when i need them.
LCR I don’t run wright mowers. My buddy does and he has tried everything. High lift. Super high lift. Removing baffles. I do agree that the mower itself is indeed revolutionary and it’s engineering. And I don’t blame wright for it. Every company can miss stuff in their R&D. I’m a toro guy personally when it comes to the walk behind and standers since they are so similar and parts are so readily available at my dealer. Ztr is a Dixie chopper though. Can’t say enough good about that thing.
I live in Wisconsin and have 3 ZK's 61, 61, and 72". I am not sure what you are talking about. These are the best mowers on the market. As Ed Wright says, there is no deck that is perfect for every situation. Watch his videos on deck design. The front of your blade needs to hit before the back, or your blade cuts the grass multiple times. I also have Skags. Skags are probably the next best mower on the market, with the second best cut. However, Skags are not built or designed as well as a Wright. I love that they run at 12.5 mph. Good luck.

Intro gave me chills POWERFUL!!! I suspect we’ll be seeing you on top of some black n yellow in the future.
I bought a stander x 61 with kohler efi last year and I love it. I also bought a wright stander b early last season
You like the efi? How often do you trade your mowers in?

How do you like the Stander b and how has it been holding up? How many hours?
Great video I love my Wright stander
What size trailer is that you have to haul your ZK 61" in? Thanks for the videos
7x16
Good stuff
Great video

Just need to find a ferris dealer by me...😁
When does one need 37 HP to mow lawns? Really interested to see that place lol That's gotta be ~ 1.5 gal/hour.
@@daflea66 I have the 37 HP EFI Vanguard on my Z3X 61" mowing large acreage and town lawns, I can mow 2 days on 10 gallons.
@@daflea66 mowing commercial its almost a must. More power the better
I had Ferris before and I think it’s much heavier than WS
This machine destroys the x on hills and everything
Wright does a lot well! Very good quality!

Only if it's the customer's doing
@@LawnCareRookie, thanks for the response! I'm trying to learn as much as I can about the lawn care industry before I jump in full time

Is 2000 hours on a stander x 52inch alot of hours?

Not really haha, before running solo, worked for a high end company doing HOA’s only, we had ten of them ranging from 3k-6600hrs
bofkaycee we mowed over 1100 houses a week in one HOA, 300 in another and resort destinations

Scag vride 2 is probably the only comparable quality wise I would say.

Honestly I own 7 grandstands. Just bought a zk and honestly what to return it. It cuts like shit. I’m embarrassed to have it on our properties.

Hey how does the cut quality compare to grandstand
Is the traction issue due weight distribution, or tire type etc? What do you think?
That was my mower of choice. But went with the ProStance 52.
Wright was 1.5 hour drive & Mow The Distance Promotion got me on a Gravely at 7K.
Gravely is huge in North Central Alabama.
Love it.

Heard it was a good mower to get thru tough stuff but lacks a finish cut like the toro. I’m sure it’s a great mower but toro all day long.
