although i do agree a game needs an important balance between being good and leaving a good impression, the sonic series is a great example where it has all of the personality and kinda mid games most of the time

I feel like Nintendo Switch Sports hasn’t really “lost its character” because it still contains bright colors, environments and characters, and yeah they aren’t as iconic or charming as Miis.
I do feel like you can’t put other sports games against Wii Sports nor Nintendo Switch Sports. Nintendo games are designed to have personality and the latest game just didn’t reach that. No one’s looking for personality in FIFA.
