NC is a low flow O2 device designed to deliver approximately an FIO2 of 44% at 6L. 15 L NC is incorrect. After 6 L NC , the following device FIO2 wise is a ventury mask, than a Non rebreather mask. You can preoxyganate with a Nasal Canula but setting it to more than 6L, doesn’t mean that the patient is receiving the extra FIO2. Every device delivers a different FIO2. NC doesn’t exceed 44% at 6L.
