The answer: Mutated mantises with ascendant saddles and ascendant swords. I destroyed the Dodorex in maybe 30 seconds with 15 or so. P.S.: A turkey's tail is called a "fan," the "testicle thing" is a "wattle."
@@shadowofgod21 Ya. I wanted something better and more fun than Rexes, so I did a 40-40 stack of Hp and Melee mutations on some good tamed mantises. Even without a yutie buff, they were doing 2-4k damage against the Dodorex. They're like tiny, faster Gigas...though even after 40 HP muts, their health is (as I recall) right around 10k...but the ascendant saddles do a LOT of work keeping them alive, though they kill so fast it almost doesn't matter.
36:26 oddly enough you don't have to kill something to get a dermis from it. You just have to hit it with that skinning knife. No joke just hit the savage acro after its dangerous attack with it and get one that way
Magmasaurs deal normal damage cause for some reason everything that uses the damage stone damage type (giga, titano, Magma, Golem,Dunkles) ignore the dmg reduction of the Turkeys.
So that's why my Gigas do normal damage against the turkey, I thought the turkey has some resistance from giga attack. Well I'm not mad about it thou 😂
To kill turkeys I personally use wyverns. Specifically fire, the fire tic damage is good and you can fly and reposition if it gets to close. On crystal isles tho, tropical wyverns are great. Especially since you can just walk backwards along the massive beaches and get water buffed and quickly regen stam
I remember when turkey trials first came out a turkey got into my dad's base and killed every thing. (This is back when taming a giga solo was near impossible) He was about mid to late game
Turkey's are treated similarly to rock golems meaning that any creature that deals full damage to them also deals full damage to turkey's so a Fully leveled and imprinted giga could potentially kill these things in just a few bites.
The next time you fight the savage acro you should try using an indominous Rex. Not sure if it’s Apex predator buff would help a lot but would like to see
Another alternative is a Mantis with imprint 100% and melee at 1021 (Got a few mutations and a lot of leveling. I use him for Alpha kills and cave runs on Scorched) with primitive swords I do ~1400 damage. He doesn't get around as quick as the Managarmr but he'll kill Turkey's faster.
I've been running a dedicated Aberration server on Xbox, and my friends and I have found that the Carno is actually pretty good for turkeys, if you have the patience to wait for them to bleed out. Between the back-up speed and the knock-back from the horn attack, the carno can avoid being hit by the turkeys while bleeding them out. An imprinted carno is even more effective in terms of movement speed. Also, if you back the carno up-hill and let the turkey chase you, the gore attack knocks the turkey back far enough to help keep it out of striking distance of your dino.
Amazing! this savage accro knew this was gonna happen when it fisrt came out! xD idk why but reminds me alot of the indominus rex fighting rexy in JW the movie! :) i really ejoyed this video totally worth the wating!
I had a shelfed managarmr that I hadn't taken out of the cryo pod since I tamed it, it had like forty levels built up so I put them all into stamina, they're great for running around the map while you're looking for the turkeys too
Turkeys literally just use the rock golems diet, which the dinos settings for some reason can ALSO control the amount of damage a creature takes from sources (carnivore settings makes creatures take 50% reduced damage from wild herbivores, stego TLC actually made all but 1 of their modes (piercing ironically) not herbivore damagetypes, which is why wild TLC stegos are so tough now, cuz your tamed carnivores and wild carnivores dont take reduced damage from them anymore). And basically damagetype damagetypes ignore rock golem armor. So yeah anything that shreds rock golems shreds turkeys, because they have the same diet. Ark logic.
Ngl, that was pretty awesome 👌. Also, so, the savage acro, what about like a chalicotherium or what creature type fight if he gets close to the water? Also, rock golems or something could be a cool fight maybe 🤷🏼♂️
I remember when I played during my first turkey trial when part 2 came out my friend was warning me to stay away from them. Of course me being me, I didn't listen and grabbed my reaper king and went to find a turkey. I learned reapers are good for this! The tail spin attack is great crowd control for when other creatures show up, you can slow them down as well to help with keeping things under control (I fought 3 turkeys at one point and that helped alot), and it only took alittle bit to kill them then again I went over kill with it's attack.
I found syn a couple months ago and am hooked. Have binge watched so many videos and also inspired me to create my own SP ark on the island! Those turkeys are insane, my first attempt to kill one didn't go so well 😅 but your advise to use a creature with bleed has been a lifesaver! Me and my allos are grinding for those wishbones! Love the videos and can't wait for the next one! 😍
I gotta ask, do you have multiple servers for each map or just one server and change maps? My friends and I are doing every ark in order and I only have the one server. I'm not sure how transferring will work in between arks
ugh, the first time I encountered one of those monster turkeys was when I accidentally hit one while farming dodos on a new start... I had to do a new start on my new start.
To level up the dodorex even more, you should’ve brought a lystro, you can pet it for double pet xp.(sorry, I meant an idea would be too bring one in the future)
I think the turkey armor thing has something to do with stone, because I've noticed it's usually creatures that break stone that don't do reduced damage. Like the rock elemental's damage reduction
Last night I used a king reaper on turkeys, was doing 1,600 damage per hit.. had to sit there spamming my attacks for just over five minutes to kill one Turkey. The turkeys could do any more than 20 damage to me per hit. Good grief.
Does the savage achro take recoil damage?, because if it does, an army of arthros should be decent against it, especially when the achro is doing the stomp attack
The acros damage reduction would probably stop it, or that damage might just cause it to get angry and more dangerous, which would be a detriment. Plus kentros have a damage cap they can reflect so it wouldnt be too effective. And arthros dont have the health to tank.
My breeded lightning Wyvern with 2300+ melee damage can take out a turkey with less then 2 full lightning strikes, meaning it takes me less then 7 seconds to kill a turkey from 100-0. PS. the turkeys are super fast in the water but sometimes they just run in circles in the water and is therefore easy to kill since it doesn't attack you at all when it does that.
Something I've noticed is when the turkeys get into the water they spaz out and are faster than on land but they run back onto land, so I dont think megalodons would be the greatest thing
The easiest way to kill the turkeys is by using a wyverns breath attack on them. Doesn’t matter the type of Wyvern. Turkey’s take normal damage from the great attack. It’s how I kill them and I find it to be the easiest way.

@@HydragonofDeath Allo's bleed is the only bleed that also apply slow, allowing Allo being the only bleeder that can kill Alpha Brute Spino and wild Giga with just 2 of them, does not even require insane stats
Also Dinopithecus can only apply to bleed if the pack leader did the attack command and the rest of the pack member jump in on the same target, not to mention is not guarantee to apply bleed, also Thyla's bleed is the same as Wild Giga, in which is 5 seconds, for bleeder, I still use Allo, since it can slow down the turkey while draining its health, you can in fact spacing the turkey without it reaching you
