When you drank the invisibility potion in mission 12, I couldn't stop chuckling at what must have been going through the minds of the guards there. "Oh, it's just the unconscious body of Cavador floating around in the air again. Mondays, am I right?"
makes you think, if you drink an invisibility potion does that also include your clothes and anything you touch? but it is funny to think, it must be a common thing in that universe lol
On the Blackmail mission in the church where you think you can hear a hammer haunt, you’re right! There is a large hammer statue, and then next to it on the wall is a smaller hammer. Shoot a broadhead arrow into the hammer hole in the wall and the large hammer statue will reveal a crypt you can climb down to with a new area to explore with more loot! 😊
9:48 This is where my profile picture and the entire vibe of my channel comes from, such a great cutscene. All in all, very solid video, I was surprised to see it has this little views, this is good stuff
interesting video, just a couple of pointers though: In Framed on expert difficulty you are allowed to be spotted by guards, you just aren't allowed to kill or knock anyone out. Only in Casing the Joint do you have to remain out of sight the whole time (as well as not killing or knocking out). Speaking of, I'm pretty sure you don't have to set ALL the clocks to midnight for the secret passage to open? At least in every version I've played I was never required to, it's only the clock directly beside the secret passage door that needed to be set. A lot of your problems can be solved via reading notes left around, like the silver gear in the Blackmail mission, I'm sure there's at least one note complaining of the missing gear and how the guard in question had gone swimming, just a case of putting 2 + 2 together. And yes there is a Hammer Haunt hanging around inside the mansion, fire an arrow into the hammer symbol on the wall and the large metal hammer will move aside, opening up a basement/crypt.
@@ShadoSpartan44 honestly it's hard to know these things first time playing. Hell, I still get bogged down in some of the missions on higher difficultly (looking at you Thieves Guild and Haunted Cathedral), especially when it comes to finding enough loot. Masks virtually demands you find every piece to proceed, it's pretty ridiculous.
For a Halloween episode, two games come to mind for me. Vampire Bloodlines would be a good fit, considering it is an aged classic, and overloaded with creatures of the night. The other one is a bit off the beaten path, Lobotomy Corporation. LobCorp is a management game, in which you try to extract energy from SCP-esque creatures - and much suffering ensues. While rather unknown, LobCorp isn't afraid to pull very nasty tricks most games wouldn't dare to try. Despite lacking the Korean esport reflexes the game calls for, I still found LobCorp fulfilling.
The don't let Karras find out objective in Soulforge is for not taking out Guiding Beacon A. You fail the mission if you take it out. You switch the towers to B, but because GB A is still attached, Karras doesn't notice a thing It's all explained in the note you get in the plans room
I wish they handled the pagan side of the story better. Some of the early missions are really just missions. Looking Glass added the story to well-designed missions, that's what they did. To me Thief Gold is the better game, as Casing the Joiny and Masks are the same mission, and the mission where you kidnap Cavador is annoying. On second playthrough the missions were too, too large! And the final mission was pretty meh, Viktoria just acting out of character and not so scary all of a sudden
I think that everyone who has played Thief 2 doesn't want to watch what is basically a summarized walkthrough. And people who have NOT played Thief 2 would rather play the game than watch a video full of spoilers. You can't win.
from what i can tell it was a very rushed game, i imagine the publisher said they had to have the game out by next year so i'm not gonna be harsh on the devs they worked their butts off to let us enjoy a 2nd game. I wonder if thief 2 gold would have fixed a lot of the issues with the last 3 missions
Yes. Fucking loved the video. Hope you decide to do Thief 3. It's also a good game. Not as awe inspiring as the first two, since they had to scale it down and compress the levels for consoles. (Why do consoles have to ruin everything...). Instead it uses a centralized hub that you keep going back to. Tons of loading screens (again, for consoles), but I believe that there is a mod to patch out the loading screens for PC. And in the hub area, you have to allow yourself to get caught by the City Watch at least once, otherwise you'll miss the prison break mission. Anyway, keep it up, my man.

it takes time, my channel is slowly growing, appreciate the support

Appreciate the feedback, I figured there was a solution to my issues and got a few things wrong, glad to have people like you to correct my mistakes

Hello bro, noice review.

thanks, that was such a mystery to me
Great review but my brother in christ the gamma is so high all the atmosphere is gone

not trying to win, some people like to see what that game was all about.
I have played both games a gazillion times, yet here I am 😊
Great analysis of the missions! Life of The Party is maybe the strongest in the entire series, but the last three missions are some of the worst.
