it is true that Sri Lanka is cleaner than India. But it is also true that it has big problems with cleanliness. You find everywhere rubbish and plastic scattered around. The education of the people has so far not changed to the good and the overpopulation is another problem. I visited SL first in 1982 and last time a couple of years ago and the development cannot be seen too optimistic. But it is still a beauty!

Around 300,000 people lost their income because of the Corona virus. Tourists stopped visiting the country.
