This is not the end. It’s saying goodbye to the past and a beginning of a new era. I guess it makes sense for them to comeback with a ballad rather than a party song after all that they’ve been through. Everyone had a hard time. I’m happy that they are happier now.
I also think it is not a goodbye in a sense of ending BigBang, but like you said a goodbye to the past and a welcome to the future events.
Also since there are articles right before their comeback that say that everyone except TOP prolonged their contract with YG and that TOP will still be a part of BigBang and be with them whenever he can. So it wouldnt even make sense saying goodbye forever. Don't you think?

The most noticeable thing for me was the feelings/emotions they portrayed through their eyes and voices. It feels like they are heading towards their own individual journey at their own pace however they are still together as BIGBANG .

Big Bang and 2NE1 were the 2 groups that made me re-discover kpop. Don't even talk about a good-bye song bc when 2NE1 put theirs out it felt like someone punched my in the gut. I listen to a few kpop songs way back bc a high school friend was Korean and she use to rent music shows to watch or play me music while we drove around. It wasn't that big then and I knew a few songs but didn't really get into it (she was really into ballads and you really have to understand the lyrics to get ballads). After a few years passed, I decided to watch some kpop for nostalgia and youtube algorithm did me a solid by showing me 2NE1 first, then BigBang. I was hooked into YG ever since. They were the first to do a US tour and I got to go to both when it was still a small-ish concert in the US. Now I'm way too deep into kpop but 2NE1 & BIGBANG will always be the ones for me. Not to mention I really enjoyed 1TYME back in the day and when I discovered Teddy was producing a lot of the tracks, I was like this is it.

The thing about Bigbang is that no matter what genre they try, you will always listen to the song till the end and again and again because they are that good. I personally like this type of songs for them better because they deliver their lines with the very emotion it needs. Their artistry never fails to convey their message. Whichever path they choose after this, I am just so thankful for the music they have given us for more than a decade. Still riding on the hope that this means more of a “see you soon” than that of a formal goodbye tho-until they’re complete again just like what they wanted to say when the ending logo showed.
I still cry when I listen to their song. The deep message, lyrics, their voices, their delivery of emotions... it’s bittersweet... BIGBANG are and will forever be the Kings of Kpop 👑 They are the group that introduced me to kpop back in 2015. I enjoyed their MADE concert so much when they toured in the USA and I was totally amazed with their performances. I hope this is not a farewell song! 😭😭😭
I love all koreans reaction to Big bang new song, almost all of their reaction is the same about Big Bang. That Big Bang is legend, great artist, the best group etc. It makes me happy how koreans and other kpop fans appreciate Big Bang so much😭❤️

Bigbang is a group that bought me to kpop in 2008 with Haru Haru. Bigbang was the only group that I was interested into kpop until Treasure debut.
I'm so glad that Korea have showed lot of love to Bigbang's returns. International VIPs was confident but we didn't expect anything from Korea because of Korean media always after Bigbang.
At the end of the day the old kpop fans and Korea knows who made kpop to where it is today. Who changed the sounds of kpop. Who made Kpop well known in the world. The Bigbang who did every foundation for kpop.

That's a sign of being great artist if you're able to let the listeners feel the emotion of the song. It could be interpreted in different ways and it was great in totality.

I'm not a VIP but has been listening to their music since "lalala" released around 2008 during my school day till now on my late 20s. When they released this comeback song I choked up since the music, lyrics, performance, and the MV has so many hidden message and references that I assumed relate to their story and what they couldn't tell directly. I love their dance songs but I also love their ballad, either way I hope they will continue to be in this industry for a long time, and I believe the fans and their listener like me will always wanna listen to their new releases.

I think it’s just a warm introduction to their comeback..It’s a form of respect to their past..It would be awkward for them to create a happy or energetic song immediately...And they would not even update their page and channel if they are not really coming back…So everything makes sense I guess.

I was waiting for your reaction. First of all, thank you for this video. As one of the reactors said, I don't think this is the end but a temporary break as we'll get solos from T.O.P, GD, & hopefully Taeyang & Daesung as well before they come back together. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I still believe they have lots to offer as a group. While the song can kind of be sad thinking of saying goodbye to the past memories, I also feel it's hopeful looking forward to the future.
