Yes 💯 % spot on! I am a type 6 and my husband is a type 7. I’ve learned to plan out our weekly schedule in my head & just let him know if something is happening on that day. I definitely don’t want to overwhelm him or take away his free time. He’s learned that change is hard for me 😂 I don’t like to change plans last minute. I need to be prepared always. 😅❤
@@AbbeyHowe Sure. ☺️ I now understand and appreciate his need to think things through, and I’ve discovered that the more I allow him to process his thoughts ( without letting him live in his head too long😉),the more he bends to my needs as a well. When you love someone, your desire is to help each other find balance while appreciating each other’s differences. Even, after all these years, we are still growing and learning from one another.
@@AbbeyHowe For me as the T2, I am more likely to have to do the "compromise" - because I've had a lot of practice!!! 🤣 Brother T5 keeps his affections in a safe place. So unless the T5 has been in some kind of self-discovery through Enneagam, I have to think T2 has found a way out of her judgement of what she is not getting, and surrender to love to be able to stike this compromise. A blessing for both.
I’m a 9 with a 4 friend, and she sometimes will try face timing me, and nothing fills me with more anxiety than someone trying to face time me without warning.
This is so true for me as a 4. Two of my friends don't even know anything about the Enneagram like me but they see and listen to my silly little identity rants 😢❤❤ I've always wanted a Type 2 partner because as they take care of me, I want to double that care.
I think as a 5 I relate to all of the enneagram types. I do think all the core motivations, gears, strengths and weaknesses of a 5 fits me so well. But I also find the others relatable to me too. Like 1s have a sense of what's correct and incorrect. I have that Trait to. Especially when I can back it up with a 5. I'm also a 541 so there's a 1 in there. Like a 2, I am interested in people and their behaviours. Just from a distance. Like a 3 I have a future, forward-thinking. And I do like to play games. Except because I'm intrigued by them. Like a 4, I super creative and imaginative. And I do like to be true and authentic. I'm a 5w4 so yeah. There's a 4 in there. Like a 6, I do overthink and overanalyse. Ì mean we are called thinkers. Like a 7, I'm a curious person with lots of ideas. And I also don't like routine. Like a 8, I'm honest, blunt ànd straightforward. Like I think we both like to deliver the facts. And like a 9, I prefer to conserve my energy. I don't want conflicts with others. I just want to ho with the flow.
I love this analysis! I think there are parts to every type where we can see glimpses of ourselves. And you got it right in that it's less about the traits that tell you what you're type is and more about the underlying WHY - your core motivations!
How is the type 5 have the hardest time getting along with everyone else considering what a Hermit they become. Them usually the Geeks out of the trait that gets put down and unfortunately doesn't know what to do correctly. Trying too hard with an idea that doesn't work
Solid Video!!! Very easy to get to the info and apply it. As a 2 I could not agree more about being taken advantage of. Seeing things like this is hard because we are so focused on others.
Small editing hiccup: type 4 has the type 6 label pop up. Also, type 5 was a little confusing when you said 'center of the head triad' but showed type 5 on the side. As a type 3, so you've taught me, I'm thinking you may be overwhelmed from doing too much, which may mean that you're trying to cope with anxiety? So, just incase, I want you to know that your videos are great, they often make me laugh, I enjoy your acting, and even if none of that was true you would still have value :-)
my entire life has been me not understanding how to give my mom the perfect gift.... i finally nailed it last year when I DIY'ed one of those prayer candles with her favorite chef - Ina Garten - on it 😂

My husband of 35 years is a type 5, and what you said is so true. I'm a type 2, and I really feel we've mastered the art of compromise.😊
I am very impressed. I a 2 and my brother a 5. We have a long way to go
I love this! Any practical tips to share with us?

I got an anxiety attack at the mention of the word "facetime" 😂. I completely agree with you.

I totally agree as a 2 in healing. Just notice I did something!
Is that so hard?🤔

Oof TOTALLY missed that in editing. Can I blame it on pregnancy brain?? 🤣 And thank you for your sweet affirmations. You know me too well.
As a 6w7 I want all the plans but also plan last minute 😅
Were there typos on the Type_____ flashed on the bottom left corner? Sorry, type 1 thing
yes! I messed up some of them. Sorry!! (blame it on my pregnancy brain 🤣 )
Not even a minute in and this is so cute 😭🥹
My mom is an eight as well 😭 ik what it’s like to get them a bad present.
