Dai need a long video on this topic . I am also facing same problem , I can play some of the scales very well and i think they are good enough to make basic solos but i cant . i can play all pentatonic or major minor scale on 70 ...80 bpm but the problem is i cant create solo .
Rhythm is a very underrated element to guitarists . My guitar phrasing improved a lot after I could easily apply these techniques to my playing..
