    🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴
    ✅Ingredients
    • 16 cups cold water
    • 2 1/2 cups sugar
    • 2 tablespoons root beer extract
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 1 pound dry ice broken into chunks
    ✅Instructions
    1️⃣ In a large drink dispenser or container, add in water, sugar, root beer extract and vanilla extract. Stir until there is no granulation.
    2️⃣ Add in chunks of dry ice and stir. Serve and enjoy!
    Recipe Notes:
    Dry Ice does not store. Needs to be used right away, If you want to make the rootbeer ahead of time, add in the dry ice a bit before you are ready to serve it to give it the best bubbles and fogginess.

    I will be trying this! Love root beer. Now I can control amount of sugar and I really like that.😊
    PS: I think I’ll warm some of the water to dissolve the sugar, add rest of water to our jug , then finish recipe.
    I’ve never seen a recipe making root beer before!
    Can’t wait.

    This looks fun and delicious.🥤 Root beer floats is a family favorite. If you're not able to get the dry ice, how much club soda is used?

    • @tameyzollner6274
      @tameyzollner6274 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would probably want to just use club soda in place of all, or a portion, of the water. The dry ice adds CO2 to the root beer.

  • @AmirTori
    @AmirTori ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Could you use both together dry ice and club soda?

    • @Thestayathomechef
      @Thestayathomechef  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes but I don't recommend it because the dry ice pushes out the carbonation pretty fast.

    Is the root beer really safe to drink with the dry ice in it? This has me worried. Looks cool, but no way I'd drink it.

    • @Thestayathomechef
      @Thestayathomechef  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dry ice is perfectly safe to include in your homemade root beer recipe. That said, you should never, ever consume it on its own or even touch it with bare hands ( Or lips)! You will want to handle the ice with tongs before you place it in the soda so as to not burn yourself.

      @jillhumphrys8073 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Look it up before you accuse someone of being unsafe.
      As long as you don't take the dry ice internally, it's harmless.

    • @56Spookdog
      @56Spookdog ปีที่แล้ว

      To be fair she shows drinking her drink without the dry ice in it. I agree while the clinking of the two mugs with the bubbling dry ice made for a cool visual it could mislead someone to drink it that way it would have been good to remind the danger of dry ice burns or breathing in a quantity of Co2 gas. I’ve worked with dry ice and Co2 in a job and I didn’t know a single guy that hadn’t got burned at least once that being said she showed a proper way to handle it for a short and fun video.

    • @56Spookdog
      @56Spookdog ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jillhumphrys8073 if you leave the dry ice in the mug and it sticks to your lip you won’t think it’s harmless. I don’t know what the concentration of Co2 gas is on top of the mug is but as someone that worked in and around it it doesn’t feel so good in your lungs. I think there could have a bit more safety warnings other than it’s really cold. I also worked for a while in a job where we handled dry ice.

      Many local grocery stores have it, but some times you have to ask the cashier.
