- Synopsis: Mun Nara is a teacher returning from a 2-year absence following the death of her husband. It occurred on a rainy night while he was trying to stop some students from being involved in biker gang activities. On her return she meet Son Ugi, a 12th grade student whose father passed away on the same night as Nara's husband. They're involved in a teacher and student relationship that's birthed from the fact that perhaps they're the only people in the world that understand what each other's going through...

I guess the best thing about this movie
There wasn't any love relationship between them
Only understanding pain of each other simply they were just being humans
this is my second time watching this and it's still as beautifully painful as the first time
It is what it is.......a sensitive, beautifully written, filmed and acted story about compassion and healing......🙏🏼❤

This movie is so beautiful and peaceful. I loved it.
Two kindred souls, going through pain that they can only understand. A beautifully written drama, with so much emotion. It's annoying when people / society make assumptions when they don't have all the facts. The one thing she gave him was hope, & he liked her for that. The thing she got for from him, was to be their for him as a student and to continue her husband's desire to help young people. She is indeed pretty & played the role well. I too agree that 99% of Asian dramas have so much more soul & depth to them. It's like looking into the lives of everyday normal people like you and I. Well worth the watch. Thank you KBS, from a South African fan 🤗
One of the best drama special! I dont think the ending was hanging. It was clear they are going to be together though the type of relationship they have is open for debate..ugi is the motivational factor for nara..and nara give strenght to ugi. The story itself is beautiful. Such dynamic characters..

Moving and Nara and Ugi just makes you fall in love with them.
This is a lovely drama, with a well-written screenplay and fine performances. And, for those commenters who think it was sad, I didn't find the ending sad at all. I felt a sense of satisfaction that they both felt at peace with themselves, each other, their deceased loved ones, and, yes, even the rain! (Remember he said he used to hate the rain?) Now, it's my personal opinion (fantasy?) that, after Ugi graduates, they'll run off to Spain or Africa together! Ha! I'm loving K-dramas and drama specials! :)
I understand exactly how they feel. Things like this is not easy to deal with and sometimes it feels like your just drifting with no where to go or no one to speak to or be with. You really need people who went through this to understand and be there

I love Korean dramas so much !! I have watched most of the KBS drama specials and this one touched my heart.It says so much without trying to ruin it by giving too many dialogues to both the characters specially Nara.The situations and silence speaks for itself.It reminds me of my past.How we hold on to the memories and how easy it becomes to relate to someone who is going through same situation as you.The pain becomes common link.At that point age factor and social stigma doesn't matter.
Jung Eun Chae is elegant& expresses her loss with grace and suspicion. Great portrayal of a grieving widow and her sadness. You Mingue reciprocates her feelings and keeps his distance so as not to arouse suspicion… good drama
whenever I watch movies, I always want it to end on something that satisfies my expectations...and sometimes things will not go the way that I want it to be...it is so frustrating because i watch movies to fill the emptiness inside me and experiencing shortcomings is not helping me...
movies that leave me hanging at the end and want me to do the thinking of how the ending turn out to be...I REALLY HATE IT
Come here after i finished watching the amazing drama Come Here and Hug Me 3 hours ago, written by the same screenwriter who made this drama special. Nara's Rain is such a heartwarming story. I think it deserved another episode to tie the knots much better like for instance to see Nara gained more courage when she teaches the students or confronting the teachers who badmouthed her late husband for doing something that was supposedly noble. Romantic relationship between a teacher and a student is something i don't really want to witness in real life but i'd like to believe in this story, the student, Son Ugi probably sees Nara as somewhat someone who felt like home to him. When he said, "is it wrong for me to like you" and "i missed you", it could probably meant like he's liking and missing Nara as someone who give him the family comfort he longed for after all this time since he had been living by himself and bearing the pains and loneliness for 2 years. What a beautiful story 😃. Thank you so much KBS for uploading this. Been a great pleasure 😀
There are no boundaries when it comes to love...and once in love, control simply drop away, and you just love...period. Who you love?...it could happen in an instant so what can you do? You just love. I believe it's the actions love evokes that hurt, not the loving itself. Taking action can be wrong, but not loving someone. I like the old US adage..."it's what you do and not what you say, that makes the person!
love does't need a reason for loving somebody...
These short dramas are so much better. Please produce more especially on issues that really affect ordinary people going through a lot
The ending was a bit confusing to me, but great storyline! The male actor is so freaking tall and cute 3

She's going through the same thing am currently going through after losing my mom. I keep touching her stuff whenever I get nervous or sad😢. I know am not a young child but to her i have always been her baby and i just can't accept that we can't be together as we used to. Sorry for the long comment but my pain is too unbearable
On a heavily rainy day, Na-Ra (Jung Eun-Chae) lost her beloved husband and Woo-Ki (Yoo Min-Kyu) lost his beloved father.
Two years later, Na-Ra and Woo-Ki meet as a teacher and student at a high school. Since his father died on the rainy day, he is afraid of rain.
Na-Ra tries to take care of Woo-Ki and they are able to console each other. Teachers and students at the school though, eye them suspiciously.

Here in morocco its ok if a teacher marry her students, of cours people will find it weird but no one has the right to stand against it nor it is again the law, the age gap or the levels has nothing to do with love, we eventually accept that, i just dont get it why korean complaicates alot of things when it comes to love and marriage. Regadless this drama is amazing, warm and touching, i love rain and i love stories about rain

YAH! In fact I like them better than the regular dramas that sometimes has no english sub and the episodes are not in sequence or some missing episodes that you can lack sleep @ times! Rarely special dramas end up hanging! it more often has its conclusion or closure!
Always nice to watch the lovely Jung Eunchae on screen.
But I loved this drama. Korean dramas are indeed amazing. I love it! That's why I really adore Korean dramas. Daebak!

The ending is very clear. I think nara won't be a teacher in that school anymore. The relationship between her and ugi will be continued as a friend at first because all through the film their status is teacher-pupil, but from now on they will be like close friend, and maybe the relation will be a romantic one someday, who knows 😅
This hits differently after losing my mom and I haven't really found anyone who can understand what am really going through

At last Nara pulled her grabbed hands and grab Ugi's hands again , I think it means the refusal of his love, and.. saying that I will take care of you... as a teacher or guardian as his husband to the student or the father of Ugi.. I felt like that.. As Korean. love relation between student and teacher is not accepted so simply. Anyone who are Korean will feel like that I think,.. Korean's cultural feeling says that... taking out of her grabbed hands means the refusal to his love, and grabbing his hands means her wish to support or guard him as supporter.. ..
even though she changed her watch ...

The reason why I think and feel so is that Korean or Asian lover's relationship says woman part is always passive even if woman is elder than man, response of her to his grabbing hands means she did not lose her activity, and the activity is from the situation that her will to be his teacher or guardian, not his lover..
In Korea or Asia, the difficulty of love between elder woman teacher and young male student is so exhibited, the implication of chaging watch is very weak, and there is not any other implication of Nara's love for overcoming such a barrier, So Korean accept the ends as not accepting Ugi's love. of course, not 100% , leaves some room behind. but probibility ? 20% below. Korea is rulled by confucianism in mind and culture, the love between teacher and student is not accepted so easly, even if teacher is woman case, NO, NO...
The implication of changing watch is only the Nara's will that she will not be waverd by the memory of her husband's bad accident any more.. only . not accepting Uigi's love.

Life is full of challenges in living and loving. It is good to have a soft place to fall. This is a really good drama. Ugi is still in high school. I believe Nara is being responsible and will wait. Potential good outcome for the future. Enjoyed this drama thoroughly.
