Edited: People need to stop using the legitimacy of 50% Human 50% ghoul. It was a phrase used to simply describe half ghouls, not how they are legitimately built. Also stop trying to apply real world logic of genetics to Ichika without taking in the rest of the story, its not like Rize literally rebirthed herself from nothing or Hinami had both her father and mother's identical kagune passed down to her or even Tsukiyama's Rc Cell disease passed throughout his family for generations that stop his whole family from being able to create a kakuja.
But Ichika having Rize's Rc Cells is impossible, lol ok.

I don’t know why some people forget that kaneki is still human in terms of DNA and breeding children, probably my only complaint with ichika was that we didn’t see her name in the actual story, it was more like a side note. At the end of the video I never really thought of that, even though ghouls and humans are co-existing, I think kaneki and touka need to be extra careful protecting ichika and possibly her brother when he comes around

@@santo1st Tokyo Ghoul is not a Shonen. Nor does it need to be. I really want a manga sequal set after Tokyo Ghoul:re but I don't think that will happen. I think in the next few years they'll release perhaps a few more OVA's, perhaps animate the Joker Side story or adapt a couple of the light novels into some OVA's. But besides that I doubt Ishida will create a whole new Tokyo Ghoul manga series. And I'm hoping for a complete re-adaptation of the manga in the next 10-15 years.

Well, technically during the series it was later revealed that half ghoul are common but the one eyed ghouls are uncommon or a rare thing. Because technically the children from the washuu raised in the sunlight garden like arima are all born from a ghoul n human parents but they are not born with the ghoul superior genes, their genes are human superior so they eat normally but have exceptionally high physical abilities compared to a human with the exchange of a lower life span.

Barely No one watched it mate the high light was in the manga. They even skipped edgy detective kaneki in the anime..
Rushed is a light word in describing the absolute travesty that is the anime. It was rushed, poorly animated, poorly done in terms of atmosphere and even music, story changes, etc. Unless this story gets the Fullmetal treatment anime viewers will never actually know how good the story was.

Why do people want a continuation of the series with Ichika as the protagonist. Technically the entirety of Tokyo Ghoul is the mental progression of Kaneki a direct sequel wouldn’t fit.

I wondered if human can turn into half ghoul,what about ghoul turning into half human?
The thing is, as far as I see it a half ghoul just has a few main characteristics: only one eye goes red when kagune is revealed, and they have enhanced healing and combat capabilities. They still have all the main ghoul characteristics like a kagune, rc cells etc. A half human wouldn't really make sense if you know what I mean, because there's no characteristics for the ghoul to lose
I don't think so. The only way I can see this happening is if someone somehow managed to remove permanently their Kakuhou, and even then they would probably just develop RC cell disease.

I'm just glad our Kaneki got a happy ending he's been through sm and tokyo ghoul manga (Ishida Sui) dd justice to him. The character developed in this anime is above all and manga gave spotlight to each and every character.
Eto’s mom has my respect for throwing away a part of her morality to save her child’s life.

I think it was because Touka forced herself to eat human food. It has been shown(early in the first manga) that doing so makes a ghoul not only sick but also weakens them. Touka couldn`t fight Shuu properly after having eaten some of the food Yoriko offered her. I think it is because ingesting human food blocks their metabolism. So by eating that hamburger, Touka provided extra nutrition for the embryo, while also slowing the rate at which her own body could try to eat the child. I think RC suppressants migth also work in that situation but might be harmfulll to the child if it is a one eyed instead of demi-human.
I think this is a pretty terrible explanation for Ichika's existence. Being a Washu ghoul or having Rize's RC cell doesn't play into how she was born. Rize's RC cell is different to Kaneki's, note that the birth of Pan in Super is different to Ichika. Pan is born because the genetics of humans and saiyans are close like horses and donkeys, the only major difference is the strength mutation and having a tail (humans already have tail bones and have almost 100% DNA shared with primates.) Ichika exists because as Eto's mum cannibalized for the nutrition a ghoul needs, Touka ate human food for the baby that requires human nutrition. Everyone literally rights off putting Rize's organs into Kaneki suddenly means his testicles now produce ghoul sperm, HIS BODY IS NOT A GHOUL IT IS A HUMAN BODY WITH GHOUL POWERS. When someone calls him a ghoul or he says he is a ghoul that is not a literal meaning ffs. Putting Organs in him does not mean everything else he has becomes ghoul parts because that would mean Ichika is full ghoul. This entire explanation is absolutely convoluted because it missed the point that Touka knows even though Kaneki and everyone sees him as a ghoul, she sees him as a human who understands ghouls and that is why she eats human food. Ichika is not 3/4 ghoul and 1/4 human or some shit like that and having Washu organs does not change the sperm that Kaneki's testicles produce. THE SPERM ARE GIVEN THE FUCKING DNA INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE GET GO AND NEVER CHANGE UNLESS DAMAGED!!! He has regeneration so they don't lose that information and that entire reason not only disproves the theory but proves that Kaneki having Rize organs does not mean its technically a child between Touka and Rize BUT TOUKA AND KANEKI BECAUSE RIZE DON'T GOT A FUCKING PAIR OF TESTICLES.

incorrect, Kaneki isnt a ghoul, kaneki is still human, the only thing that gives him ghoul abilities are the transplanted organs from Rize, he took on the ghoul personality through torture, and after consuming multiple ghouls, he evolved, but that still doesnt change the fact that he's still human, which is why Ichika is a perfect half human half ghoul, she shouldnt inherit any ghoul status through Kaneki. Just because his organs were transplanted, doesnt mean his genetics through egg fertilization should be different, they'd stay the same, as a human.

Is it possible that kaneki and touka’s next child could be different from ichika, as kaneki gained new organs from dragon?
I’ve been wondering a lot about this, because everyone has been on the topic of how different Ichika is from your traditional ghoul, but how different would their next children be considering it would be post dragon kaneki.
Also isn’t ichika like 75% ghoul and 25% human because kaneki was already a half ghoul albeit an artificial one, unless that is just canceled out because of how dominant rizes cells are.
He's not a natural half ghoul though so he's baby juice is still 100% human, making Ichika 50/50.

No he's not toward the end of the series. He was like that originally nut after Canabalizing enough and have the dragon plantes and activates in him his body mutated and change to were he still partly human but at least 50% or more ghoul.

I see people talking about how they want another installment of TG, but with Ichika as the protagonist, or a thing done from Hide's point of view, and while I do agree with them, it's unlikely to happen unless Ishida gives another Mangaka permission to give it a shot, which is still unlikely. Of course, that's assuming it's possible in the first place for an author to do that. But what I want more than that is a Tokyo Ghoul anime reboot, because let's be honest, the anime is a complete disappointment at best, and... well, I can't think of a word in the English dictionary that can encompass how bad it is at it's worse. The fist season I was willing to let pass, but Root A (which mind you, Ishida gave studio clown a perfectly good route to take with it, and the studio said fuck you and completely threw his outline away.) and beyond that were things that didn't deserve to exist as they did. STUDIO BONES or STUDIO MADHOUSE aught to just make a reboot of it. Unlike studio clown they can actually do something right.
And while we're on the topic of reboots, has anyone noticed that it's ALWAYS the dark manga that have terrible or lackluster anime adaptations? I mean, we all mourn Berserk-kun and his heart breaking divorce with TrueProperAnimeAdaption-chan.

I’m late to the party (damn work) but this was a really well done video. I think you explained it in a way that made sense and as always the art you use is stunning. Of course Tokyo Ghoul is why I came here so for you to make a video on the final character and in a way on the finale all over again, is quite an odd sensation.
Ichika surely sounds very interesting and it would be intriguing to see how she would develop throughout her life. I hope that she would get her father’s drive for peace and her skills from both of her parents and from Rize as well. She would definitely be important to the V organisation and probably to all ghouls and humans alike. Whoever would come for her would have to deal with a whole bunch of strong ghouls and one godly Kaneki.
It’s weird that it’s all over. No more Tokyo Ghoul. Rather tragic really. Your videos have definitely added to the experience though, I still can’t believe you didn’t grow more popular in the TG community.

When Kaneki was fighting Arima, you can see the developed muscle mass that he has. After the fight, he lost the mass he had built. How did Kaneki lose this muscle mass? Was it because of his sickness that made him lose mass? I noticed this in the manga and anime.

I'm really glad you made this video, I've been wondering for a while about what her potential heritage could possibly be when regarding Kaneki's unique status. I would imagine a lot of natural half ghouls will be made during this era, so Ichika will have some competition, but on a power note, she and especially her future siblings would be like the ultimate ghouls in the world!
Don't forget also the possibility of a great number of kakuyas in criminal ghouls, i mean, dragon orphans are still a big problem, because they are really dangerous and aggressive (also they became way more smarter), but a big problem will be that a lot of ghouls who still hate and eat humans and act as rebels and criminals will eat the DO(dragon orphans) in act to became kakuya in a easiest way, i think it would be interesting if they will create an terroristic organization against the ghoul federation and the the ccg(or how is called now)

normally children have a combination of their parents kagune's, like hinami. her's is a combonation of her parents.
so mabey ichika is a combo of rinkaku and ukaku, like a rukaku mabey. the rinkaku blade-like tales, and the ukaku wings
in kaneki and touka's case maybe because of kaneki's special case of being ghoul/human. But they talk about it in the manga, It is very rare for a ghoul child to be born with multiple kakuhou like hinami. So hinami was just very lucky to have her combo kagune
I want to know more about Ichika and the origin of ghoul species. But I don't want Kaneki to suffer any more than he already has. Just let him rest already. Honestly, i have an opposite idea for ichika. i think she inherited touka rc and here're the reasons. first is that washuu rc is very specific, that's why washuu do inbred to keep their blodd pure. Second is that touka rc or "yomo" bloodline rc is dominant, example is touka and ayato are both inherit hikari ukaku despite arata being a koukaku.
if we’re going to get a sequel it better be about Hide if not they can keep it

Arima is half ghoul too he said that when a half ghoul is born most of them look identical to humans but they are stronger and eto is just a special case that she was born with a ghoul eye.
So kaneki and touka shippers were very happy but they didn't knew they were really shipping kaneki and rize. Because the child of kaneki and touka is more like the child of kaneki and rize. Bcz her rc cells are more than touka. I am so confused. Wtf is going on can someone explain.

Touka had to weaken her body so that it wouldn't consume Ichika. A ghoul womans body will confuse the human child inside her for food, and consume it.

Yeah, Ishida should've ended it like a tragedy by killing Kaneki, leaving the ghoul world with no hope. Also, Touka having a miscarriage would be a tragic touch. That would be a beautiful ending.

This video is not how genetics or reproduction works. Someone who gets a kidney transplant does not suddenly have the DNA of their kidney donor mixed in with theirs for their children to inherit. They are a chimera with cells from a different genetic origin seperate to their own cells in 1 body. In the same way, Kaneki does not suddenly have a mix of Rize and his own DNA. His own body cells have his own DNA, his kakuhou has Rize's DNA. If you had even a basic understanding of genetics and cell biology, it would seem ridiculous to suggest that Rize's genes would incorporate into the DNA in Kaneki's sperm to pass on to Ichika. Ichika is a half-ghoul with Kaneki's human DNA mixed with Touka's ghoul DNA. Her kagune would be an ukaku from Touka. I know that ghouls in the first place do not strictly follow the rules of science but this is so farfetched an idea that Ichika is part-Rize that I don’t think this is what Ishida was going for. If he wanted you to think Ichika was a part Washuu, he would have mentioned it. It’s a complex headcanon though, I’ll give you that

So imagine kaneki’s daughter. She might he armored and able to shoot spikes and her tentacles. And consider that kaneki wasnt an only tentacle ghoul he could make wings and shields.

The kagune and kakuja appearance depends on the user's imagination and the quality and quantity of RC cells to pull off the said appearance of the kagune and kakuja. So Ichika could very well be any of those or something else entirely.
I forgot which chapter it is but it has been stated in the manga. Also if you read the manga you'll even notice that near the ending when Kaneki is fighting inside the dragon to reach Rize his kagune's appearance keeps changing into those of his friends

But who knows she'll probably be stronger than most ghouls especially the pure ghouls because if I remember correctly it's canon that half ghouls are superior than pure ghouls and she has Kaneki/Rize rc cells as well.

I don’t think a new series with Ichika as a protagonist would be good. They ended the series on a good note, continuing the series might make it seem like they’re dragging it out. However maybe a reboot the series would be pretty cool. Also maybe making a series on another characters backstory such as Hide, Touka or Kuzen would also be pretty cool.

I'm not really sure about the Kagune part of Rize's being present, let alone dominate within Ichika. I'd say Pre-Dragon Kaneki's Kagune was similar to having a kidney transplant, his body could use it as he and Rize had the same blood type, but it wasn't genetic, in the eyes of DNA, I believe Kaneki would still class as a Human. So I think Ichika would just have Toka's Kagune amplified like Eto is with Yoshimura's Kagune.
What really interests me is Toka's and Kaneki's second child which is coming, this boy. As he is born of DRAGON Kaneki and Toka, possibly making your claims true about him if he becomes a half ghoul and not a half human.
