You almost made me understand . So basically you’re holding R2 the whole time . Holding the ball in your right hand you flick the right stick to the left , flick the left stick to go towards the left ..,, and then are you holding the L2 immediately after the left flick or your quickly tapping the L2 to get the pause animation then flick right stick , left stick and flick L2 ?. So basically while holding the right turbo , the right flick counts as a 1step, left flick 2 step , and tap L2 as 3step, , and to go opposite direction , release L2 before the start of the right stick going left this time , then left stick flick and tapping L2 to start the opposite direction ? 👀
