I had couple of ridin wap7 and wap4 before I took this video. I am not a railway employee. The loco pilot somehow liked me and allowed me inside loco couple of times. I always wanted to be a loco pilot since my childhood. May be this is wat he liked in me ;)

Sujoy Gupta Yes you are right!! I remember the loco pilot said that the train had been running on high speed track. Hence it depends on which track the train is running and can accordingly increase its speed.
Thanks for sharing this video, I had always fascinated trains since my childhood days, more precisely the way it changes its track. This video reminded me the days of my train travel during my school vacations .

I think the shake is more prominent in the drivers seat than the passengers in rear compartments
Especially in Co-Co bogie locomotives. They are usually very rough riders in comparison to Bo-Bo bogie locomotives. So, WAP4, WAP7 and WAG9 locomotives are rougher to ride in comparison to WAP5.

SUN PREET he meant to let him operate the loco on its duty for sometime, not the full route. IR would have to think twice b4 doing such a thing as operate a premium train as rajdhani express to an unknown, untrained person who is not even a loco pilot. that would imply that they would pay around 1 Lakh to him.

That's illegal. Footplating by unauthorised personnel is illegal in itself but letting an untrained person handle a train even for a few minutes is very wrong and breaks all protocol.
Sounds like the locomotive had the Frooti and it's horn got a soar throat from it.

Great video!!! I always had a dream to get inside the cab of such high speed electric engines i.e. WAP7 or WAP4 but I never got inside them. I got inside the cab of diesel locomotives in diesel loco sheds. You are a lucky guy. How did u manage the LP and ALP to get inside the cab?

Yes. Right u are. Fyi... After burdwan 2 type if tracks are there. 1. Wid speed limit of 100kmph 2. More than 100kmph. Thats wat the loco pilot informed me.
