The Honda CTX700N is my first bike. Great bike to learn how to ride on. It was the dealer that suggested that I continue to learn to ride on this bike after I had passed the MSF course after taking the course a total of three times.
Good vid you jumped right into it. I'm a senior now and just sold my HD Heritage. At 70 I wanted something lighter and easier to manuver. This will be my next bike.
SpinnerDaj - It sounds like you have been on both the Vulcan s and the CTX700n how tall are you and how much do you weigh? I'm 6'1 and wondering which one will fit me better. Many Thanks
Why is automatic a beginner bike? Get your mind out of that bs. I've ridden for many years. Automatic is so much better. Also back in the day super sports were 700 and people talked about how mad you'd have to be to ride it. Now that's a beginner bike? People are goofy.
I'm looking for a bike to move up from my little 150cc bike. It's good enough for the town, but to get to college I have to get on pretty much 12 miles of highway-ish road (4 lane, 55-65 mph road) and mine barely does 45 mph. I really like the looks and numbers on this one. Power-wise, does it start to feel slow after a while? I'm looking for something around 700cc's so that I don't kill myself speeding (I know my heavy wrist might be troublesome if I get something bigger than 800 cc's right now heheh) but also so that I can pull off quickly away from traffic and easily do 65-70 mph. I know it's too much to consider, but the CTX is actually my best bet right now. Is it worth the bucks?
Hey did you ever do the Ctx700n oil change video up? I wasn't able to ride for almost 2 year. But I loved my CTX700N, i'm still a novice rider. So I enjoyed your positive feedback related to the bike. I agree it is a great bike to start with. When I sat on it I loved it.
Awesome can't wait, I haven't been able to ride for a while so I only have 500 miles on that bike. I'm going to bring it to a shop and have it fully serviced before I start riding. But seeing how a oil change is done to it would be great. I'm a very mechanical person but i enjoy watching videos to verify work before I do it.
that is an amazing deal!! all the ctx's for sale around here are still on a lien and the owners cant bear to pay off part of the lien to meet blue book estimate
+Claudie it's a good all around bike. I'm 6'2", 260, 33" inseam, and it fit me fairly well. Just sit back a bit to avoid having your knees bump the notches in the gas tank.

Napoleon Einstein: Funny, but so true!

Even though this is a 700, it’s a Just a parallel twin and only makes around 50hp. Therefore making it a good beginner bike.

In my opinion looking at the one that has the fairing and bags and all that it almost reminds me of the old 70s CB750 a the old hondamatic
Is there a neutral indicator? Or is that only on the DCT? Thanks.
+Yodaismycopilot it has a neutral indicator. The usual green "N" on the dash
