I swear if you jinx this… …I’ll be really sad and disappointed because I won’t be able to play much during Splatoween. I wish special events like this would have 3 days instead, starting on Friday evening and ending on Sunday/early Monday (for me it always starts at 2 am, so for it to be 3 days it would end at 2 am on a Monday). It would also fit the ‘3’ theme more, and it would make it so nearly everyone can play the special Splatfest at least once. Would suck to miss out on Splatoween twice. I missed it in Splatoon 2 (I remember opening it and seeing the vote board though, but I don’t think I even picked a team), didn’t even see Pearl and Marina on stage or remember the square being decorated, so it may have been vote week? If that was not a thing, I might’ve just forgot about all that (unlikely) or I saw other’s footage of it and don’t remember the decorations and the news being on a stage. I did get Splatoon 2 just before the Trick or Treat Splatfest, the second to last Splatfest of the whole game. So yes, I did miss out on Chaos vs Order, but in my defense I didn’t even know the game existed at that time. I also kept putting off buying a Switch for nearly a year. It seems I knew about the Switch existing since roughly October 2019 (judging by me posting an Odyssey song on Discord) and finally bought one in September 2020 after an online friend said ‘If you buy one before Christmas, I’ll buy you a game of your choice for it’. I immediately bought MK8 DX for it, and discovered Splatoon 2 a month after that and bought it immediately, just a few weeks before the Trick vs Treat Splatfest. So it sucks that I missed it once, and now in my impatience and greed, I’ll miss most, if not all of it this time. Really wish it was like postponed to a week later, but I get it wouldn’t feel as much like Halloween then. Edit: I’m really tempted to take my Switch with me to our hotel, but check in isn’t until 3 in the afternoon. And I really don’t fancy my Switch getting stolen by some robber deciding to rob our car specifically.
@@yoshe2 in the data files for the game there are 5 "special" splatfest code names. it can be assumed that the anniversary splatfest and splatoween are 2 of them, meaning there are 3 more special splatfests we havent seen. going to assume the remaining 3 are frostyfest, springfest, and finalfest
in the files i found a splatoween variant for shiver’s solo song, nothing really changed except the whistles are gone. no other idol has splatoween variants

It's not so much slight key changes its more like they transposed the whole key into a minor version and then edited out all the awkward notes
Also the chorus swaps to a Dbl Harmonic Minor from a regular minor scale and it adds so much for being only a one note change in the phrase
