Many firms are set-up in Lahore that are doing this work and hiring civil engineers for this purpose. Is it good to go? Planswift is usually used for the takeoff purposes. ((take off + sum of bends - sum of covers) *Bar Weight *Rod qty). Sum of bends = (bend* bend sides) Sum of cover= (cover*cover sides). According to this formula my result is not same as yours. Sir saady please guide

Sir, I want to ask a question from you. Is US based estimation a good thing to start your career? Many firms are set-up in Lahore that are doing this work and hiring civil engineers for this purpose. Is it good to go? Planswift is usually used for the takeoff purposes. If one pursue his career in this field it will be good or not? It is not related to Pakistani construction. Or we can gather some knowledge from this and after that we can shift to pure Pakistani estimation?

Everyone has different methods for preparing templates. I recommend you create your own templates. If you need support, we can guide you. The best way to start is by creating a formula to get the quantity on an Excel sheet first and then applying the same logic in PlanSwift.

Everyone has different methods for preparing templates. Even if someone prepared and shared a template, it’s not guaranteed that others can benefit or understand it, as there are calculations involved based on different standards and approaches.

((take off + sum of bends - sum of covers) *Bar Weight *Rod qty).
Sum of bends =
(bend* bend sides)
Sum of cover= (cover*cover sides).
According to this formula my result is not same as yours. Sir saady please guide
