Please get some lights, so you can set the example for others even if it’s not for you, when going out close to dusk. Please give you and the drivers a chance. I appreciate the roads are quiet but accidents just need one thing to go wrong
Yes fully respect that, a bit naive on my part, I have plenty of lights and reflective gear 👌 I didn’t quite realise how pitch black it would get so quickly as I haven’t evening run in ages. Thanks for raising that concern
Well done Andy. Things are really looking positive for you 🎉 It’s been an irritating shock how the mornings have lost that early light …as much as I love training in the cooler seasons I am going to miss the morning /evening daylight hours
Get your body lite gear on Andy and stay safe out there. It’s a game changer for the winter running. The little flashing snap bands are great to get motorists slowing down for curiosity on who is that mad yolk out like a Xmas tree. But the waist light that has dims genuinely changed my life cos I live in rural area. Ps. I have no affiliation, I just love when the gear hits the spot!
Yes absolutely! I just replied to someone else saying similar, it caught me a bit off guard just how quick it went dark… I’ve got all my reflective gear and lights out ready for this weeks runs 🫡 and I agree, the bodylite gear light is exceptional
@@TheFODRunner I’m always get caught out at summer’s end for the first few runs, feels like it happens fast. We need you to stay safe to keep delivering your great guidance helping us all improve our training and entertaining too 😊
Very well done! So happy to see you more motivated and doing so well. But I was a bit afraid for you, running at night with no lights and a dark kit...please be carefull when running yes? (I'm Cristina from Portugal -IMayRun- now commenting with my channel user, new subscriber too 😅) Thanks for the vídeo!
This was the workout u tell me about, that was awesome! U are so in right way! Ur overspeed training and those 5k and 10 K race in this summer have give u something! When I saw this work out u are comfertable on that speed! Its gona be great Andy! U are my Idol!
Yes it was! And I had a good long run workout yesterday, which I’ll try to publish tomorrow 👍 it’s starting to click, thanks for all of your support through the videos 👊
Great video, Andy. I'm a big fan of the 4x3 mile workout, especially if you can build some progression into it. Hope the final six weeks can give you the confidence you need for race day!
Thanks! I hate the evening runs haha! Hopefully I won’t have to do too much more… my HR is always higher and I feel more tired after a day at work so I much prefer early morning runs!
Wow the season changed quickly! Also really struggle with evening runs. Best I’ve managed seems to be easy low fibre carbs all day I.e porridge for breakfast and rice / fish for lunch and maybe banana pre run. If I eat anything half heavy I’m knackered.
Yes very similar… porridge for breakfast… rice with a burger or chicken (but vege meat as I’m vegetarian) and simple foods… if I eat crisps : chocolate etc I’m doomed 😂
Excellent work out mate, must have been utterly satisfying. One further thought about the training: how do you manage to go past that car dealership so often and not own an MG?
Thanks buddy! When our car got hit last year they gave us a replacement and it was an MG! Hated it, cheap tinny car that felt like it was gonna fall apart… all cars these days, like most things, feel like they’ve been rushed to be built! Nothing like a good old fashioned granada or orion… bloody tanks those things haha
Great video Andy good job on your 3 milers, just curious what type of watch do you use? I am still just using an old chrono style watch no distance calculated, can you recommend something?
Thanks! I use the garmin instinct 2... it was a kind gift from a subcriber a couple of years ago when my old forerunner 225 packed up! I would recommend the forerunner series, or I hear a lot of people recommend coros these days too!

This is a great workout execution Andy! After everything the upcoming race could be your best Marathon yet. Will steal this workout. 🎉❤
Thanks buddy! Appreciate it! Steal away 👍
Great effort, Andy. You can do it. Like. A nice weekend for everyone.
Thanks buddy 👊

Thanks! Its bad isnt it, its just plummeting faster than I can ever remember haha!
@@TheFODRunner I agree with you

Thanks! Dont worry, all the high visibility clothing has come back out of the loft ready for this week! so I will be brighter now! Thanks so much!
Those sessions you wish you could wrap up and roll out on marathon day. Looking good with six weeks to go.
Thanks guys 👊

I’m so happy to see this video and you crushed that workout
Thank you buddy 👊
Great video once again Andy, I'm 6 weeks away from my marathon. Your channel inspires me.
Thanks! Fingers crossed you’ll have a great race in 6 weeks time too!
Strong workout Andy, you're in great shape. I'm sure you will have a great race at Abingdon 👍
Thanks Mike, feeling confident to give it a good go now
Great video andy. You are in cracking shape!
Thanks!

Thanks! It’s a good one isn’t it… didn’t do it in my last build so it was good to incorporate it this time 👍
Savage andy, ur in super shape, not easy when u go from running in daylight to dark either
Thanks 👍 very happy with this one! It’s a horrible time of year, there’s no twilight anymore, it’s light, then pitch black within 10 mins!
You're in fantastic shape, super high fitness levels! How are you adapting to the evening runs, any pros/cons?
Thanks! I hate the evening runs haha! Hopefully I won’t have to do too much more… my HR is always higher and I feel more tired after a day at work so I much prefer early morning runs!
very good intervals, just what the doctor ordered
Indeed Thomas 👊 thank you so much
A superb session!!
Thanks buddy 👊
