vanilla plus looks a way nuch better, because it saves dark skyrim atmosphere, in ultra modded version skyrim looks too cartoony, i gues you should try some dark enb, otherwise skyrim looks more like The Witcher. anyway you've done a great job! thanks for the video, watched it till the end)
I like the idea of the Skyrim ultra modded combat, but vanilla plus combat will always be my pick. Using mortal enemies and ice-skate fix basically gives it attack commitment. And the animations are more fluid and synchronized with the characters steps. Problem is I rarely see showcases of vanilla plus combat using “Ice-skate fix” which really upgrades vanilla combat to the next level. I’ll have to showcase what I’m talking about in a vid. People will think I’m using MCO or some other combat framework, but it’s Vanilla with custom animations and these fixes. It’s literally hard to tell the difference, especially when using PACE to set the vanilla weapon movement speeds.
To be honest, vanilla and V+ are still the best… I just doesn’t feel like Skyrim with a tonne of animation mods installed. And just look at the ultra-modded here, the bandit are just sponges for damage. It shouldn’t take five minutes to kill one bandit.
Yeah I understand what you mean about the sponges. In the ultra modded list I had a mod that adds bandit healers but it landed up healing them to full hp so fast! I removed the mod OBIS Bandits and replaced it with Lawless which is more balanced. I am glad you enjoyed the V+
@@FROSTGamingVerseit’s still fun but trash tbh. In first person that’s where it shines but third…. Meh. Vanilla plus is really good for third person, Ultra modded takes away the charm of the game but modding is to add your own taste to the game and it’s still fun too IMO.
Never been able to get behind MCO, feels clunky and there’s tons of clipping, I’ve tried different setups and some of the more grounded less flashy MCO setups feel great but honestly vanilla plus is my sweet spot I think. I’m running a personal list rn with about 520 mods which is definitely borderline ultra modded but it feels super vanilla plus. No MCO, it’s the best Skyrim experience I’ve had since first playing vanilla for the first time. I can respect giant mod lists with MCO etc I just can’t seem to enjoy the flow of combat as much as I think most others do
Yes, I think mco is still needing some improvements but I definitely love that modders are trying to expand what can be done on this engine. Your list sounds great too :)
For long time, I've played on "ultra modded" setup for combat, but now, I use something like "vanilla plus", focused mostly on 1st person combat and this is a sweet spot for me. Despite all efforts of modders and creators of modlists, for me creation engine is too clunky for dark soul/valhalla combat. Anyway, nice video. What mod you use for music in "ultra modded" setup?
Thank you! Yes I think the creation engine needs a few more advancements before it can play nicely with Soulslike mods. (There is a cool framework that release which might change that) The music mod I used is: www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/103199
Ultra Modded Skyrim looks so cool, but also so hard and complicated for me to achieve, sometimes I was I can get a step by step guild on how achieve this without losing all the other mods I have accumulated over months.
I think this ultra modded version is pretty damn good Hella yeah!! I just think it needs a bit better combat smoothness, the movements starting and endings are a bit bugged and break some immersion, but man, this is fantastic! I'm just pointing this negative side because is the only one I can find! The UI, the Music, the graphics, even the combat is insane! Now I'm thinking... imagine a combat a little like Elden Vins mod for Elden Ring Mixed up with some Dragons Dogma style inside skyrim? I would buy this mod whenever it costs for sure!!!
Thanks for the feedback! Totally get what you mean about the smoothness-those little movement hiccups can break immersion. But I’m glad you’re loving everything else! And yeah, combining Elden Vins with Dragon’s Dogma-style combat in Skyrim would be insane! I’d be all in for that too. Hopefully, modders take that idea and run with it!
I must say, your ultra modded Skyrim looks just fabulous. I'm truly looking forward for the installer you've mentioned because… I must have it too 😀. Do you have any idea when it'll be done? Keep it up, legend 😄
Hello, I think this project is great. I'm very interested in the Plus and Ultra versions. It would be a great visual experience to play like that. I want it! 😁
The orange glow is part of the animation itself, from a mod series called For Honor. You can find it here: next.nexusmods.com/profile/skypia/mods?gameId=1704
This is definitely way better with the red streak removed. This is a very minor and preference based thought though: is the player able to change the color schemes for the health bars of enemies? It seemed better to me in vanilla plus when the base HP bar was brighter red. The ultra modded flips it to dark red with hits being bright red, and it was harder for me to process that cue.
I use DMCO dodge here: www.distaranimation.com/mods/dodge Which comes with a step dodge and roll dodge. I replace the roll with infinity www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/78193 Then I replace the step dodge with: www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/112313 Then I add sfx: www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/80674 Hope that helps :)
Yeah it is pretty much done, though it is somewhat bareboned, no extra quest mods and armour/weapons. It is more like a blank slate to add more mods on top of it
Can someone please tell me the archery crosshair shown here? I've struggled to find it, only started a modded play through this week. more time spend modding than playing so far
Vanilla is still good, vanilla plus is perfection, ultra modded is just like a waste of storage and time. This is my own opinion though so don't come at me, but Vanilla plus is top teir.
