Why are you using Guin. Her dmg basically doesn't exist, and if your using her for debuffs/nihility slot there are miles better options, sampo, welt, pela, silver wolf. Basically anyone who either has insanely strong debuffs or actually does dmg while offering debuffs. Because from personal experience with guin her dmg sucks until e2 and her vulnerability debuff from firekiss is not strong enough to be worth using until e6. And while she becomes "ok" when paired with black swan and sampo, that doesn't make her good when all other dot units can function on their own without help or high eidolon counts. I will die on this hill as someone who mainly uses DoT/nihility path users. I wish guin was better because her dmg gives me brain dmg with how weak it is. My best comparison to guin is serval, she is literally a DoT dmg version of serval. Which is shit because serval can get away with it because she's a crit unit, while guin can't since her dot multiplier is way too low. The lowest of all dot units which sucks, even at max strength her DoT still isn't good enough. If i had her on black swans sig lightcone then she'd have good dmg and i mean BARELY good dmg, she was such a disappointment especially after we got luka, hell sampo exists and he's an AoE dot unit while guin is a Blast DoT unit, and I'm supposed to believe that means she deserves a weak DoT? Bullshit. Imo her dot needs to be 40%-70% stronger on the multiplier. Because 280% is a weak DoT for her. For comparison i will put Lukas, sampos and guins DoTs in that order next to each other. (371%, 360%, 280%) why is it that sampo and luka have the same max multipliers while guins is missing atleast 50% to be viable for dmg. Like huh?
I'm still pissed off her dot is so weak, hell servals DoT is half as strong as guin but is a crit unit so she's fine, hooks DoT is very weak at 71% but makes up for it by doing 100% extra dmg(which can also crit) on burning targets. There is absolutely no reasons she should have been this weak! Then there is the fact she has the lowest base attack of all her fellow DoT units, even including other classes like hook from destruction, himeko from erudition. The only one she beats is ASTA and that MEANS NOTHING. Asta is a fuxking support, not a dmg dealer. Like fuck!
Then there is the fact she also has BELOW AVERAGE DoT PROC CHANCE. Like 80% what the fuck? I get that it's her basic attack but devs why? Even black swans DoT doesn't lose hit chance when going from skill to basic but guin does???? Guins skill is 100% but her basic is 80%, black swan is 65% on both basic and skill but gets away with it because she wants about 120% effect hit rate for elemental dmg bonuses, if guin got some modifier bonus for building break effect or effect hit rate, sure, she'd be ok. BUT SHE GOT NOTHING and don't tell me firekiss counts. That shit is crap, it takes on average 3 turns before its at max power which means you don't get to have a good dmg number till turn 4! And her e6 means you have to wait till turn 5 because it can stack 4 times instead of 3! Like at 2 stack firekiss you have a vulnerability equal to silverwolf's sig light cone or welts ultimate, like huh? One has no build up and the other can take roughly the same turns to activate and has semi sustain utility Alongside ACTUAL DMG BRO. I want guin to be better, she seemed sooo good as an idea and then they fumbled the bag hard man! Just imagine guin with a 320%-330% DoT dmg multiplier instead of a piss poor 280 as her maximum. She would actually do dmg
And the final nail in the coffin for why guin is the worst, most useless, actual hot garbage of a character to use. She is best played with another unit who can inflict burn because of how terrible firekiss build up speed is. Which means for Burn units you have, Hook, Himeko, Asta. And for light cones you have [Trend of the Yniversal Market]. Now then, let's compare dot dmg so we can see just how awful this truly fucking is, himeko's burn is a 30% with a 50% proc chance, hook's burn is a 71% with a 100% proc chance, Asta is a 50% of her basic atk dmg(why devs?) With an 80% proc chance, Trend of the Universal Market is a 40% of user's DEF stat with 100% proc chance (max being 120% proc with 80% dmg scaling) this is awful. Which is why i personally think guin is ment as a support for these burn based Crit units then as a dmg dealer. Shit excuse for the devs to make a crappy unit but it is what it is. Is what I'd say if i was a LITTLE BITCH! Who the FUCK thought this idea was a good one! Guins ult cost is way to damn high as well! 120 would be fine IF her dmg was better imo her ult cost needs to be reduced too 90-100 MAXIMUM. She isn't a great unit and all her flaws hold her back, her ult cost is the same as sampo, which blows. Her basic attack has deteriorated proc chance, unlike black swan, which blows, and while the Blast spreading is cool most DoT units have a 3 turn DoT anyway so they can more or less do the same thing anyway. Besides guin is basically the Erudition of the DoT units. Meaning ahe sacrifices everything just to have AoE functionality. Which is dumb as ahit
Oh and her DoT duration is the same as kafka. While ever other dedicated DoT unit has 3 turns. What the fuxk. The reason kafka gets away with a short DoT duration is because she has 5 star multipliers and can explode her DoT every turn. Guin can't. I personally think a great change would be have her basic inherently burn and replace her major trace with basic atk explodes all burns like hrler ult. Atleast then she'd be ok. As a support
