Gotta do the paper towel trick on the beer. Soak a paper towel in water, ring out and wrap around the bottle. Put in the freezer for 10-15 min and bam! Cold beer.

Cicadas and we call the hose a bum gun. Funnily enough we’ve been to Asia a few times got used to the gun. When toilet paper was an issue my husband installed one in our 3rd loo. Glad you’ve uploaded. Gina in Australia
I absolutely ADORE being in a tropical environment in a nice, open structure, with that beautiful, luxurious tropical rain! Sadly, I can never visit Bali since the medication that keeps me from being on disability due to intractable pain is several levels beyond illegal there. Thanks for the virtual tag-along!
The high pitched bug noise is probably cicadas; we have them in Australia and you just get used to them! I kinda like it cause it's the sound of summer haha

Yeah! Bintang!!! I’ve been to Bali once, for about 9 hours. Made it to a temple there, and across the street was a market, where we had Bintang, durian fruit, mangosteen, rambutan, and some other goodies.
We were living in Malaysia when we discovered you. I love seeing Bali & Ubud (pronounced Oohbood). The bamboo hut was fabulous. Enjoy the rest of your time. I so miss Asia.
Oh my God that Indonesian food, the Bobby whatever you call it looked absolutely delicious. I love when they mix everything together like that and those beers 🍻 😍
Babi Guling .....I will pick at it because I just can't get it out my head it is the Whole pig...including its Bits n Pieces, everything......nothing is wasted at all My fave is Bakso Ayam
You guys did it again! The last time you stayed in a Balinese villa, I immediately looked it up online and showed it to my husband, saying "we HAVE to go here!" Love the bungalow! Its modern meets Balinese style which is just so appealing. And just think, all that Bintang just got the Bintang gang started early 😂
As you've been there before, you should know that getting soaked on an almost daily basis is normal in the rainy season and as soon as it stops one soon dries off, well almost in that humidity. Just be like a local and carry on regardless.

I spent so many years traveling the world (compliments of Uncle Sam) that I refuse to even get a new passport. So thanks for taking us along to a few places that I'll never see in person.

A wrung out wet towel around the bottle and in the freezer for 15 minutes should get you pretty cold drinks. Cans work better than glass though.

Those bugs sound a bit like cicadas. The cicadas in Korea sound similar. Very loud in the summer.
