    Late to the party but love that it's evident you'd done your research before you arrived. Glad you enjoyed your time!

    You seem very knowledgeable about London for someone on their first trip there. Especially when you were pointing out landmarks from the sky!

      Haha! I'll now have to return to England and make that happen - that's hilarious

    Whether people like it or not, England is a Christian country and the Church (of England) is the national religion. Its bishops sit in the House of Lords and the King is the head of the Church. This might explain a little why battles etc are celebrated in Anglican churches.

      Interesting, thanks for the explanation! Certainly a bit foreign from an American POV

    If you are going to see one musical then it should be The Phantom of the Opera.

    Southwark is pronounced Sutherk, and it is Westminster not Westminister

    • @shanelavner4080
      @shanelavner4080  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good to know! Yeah I'm not sure why I kept mispronouncing Westminster lol - I think because there's so many Westminister's in the States

    • @simonfox9452

      Feel free to pronounce it as you want.. I brought my American mate a bottle of Worcestershire sauce. It was fun 😂glad you like my country

      I’ve yet to hear an American say Westminster without adding an extra i.

      Actually, the Middle English form was ministre, followed by minister and then, the relatively modern (circa 1590) minster came into use.

      Well, I would say "Suthuk) - definitely a "th" sound there. Maybe a "v" sound for cockneys.

    If he didn’t say ‘like’ so often, the video could be half the length.
