I love how this song is a progression for Whitty. He starts off nervous in the first half, looking down as always with very little confidence as the 2 sing to each other, and then at 0:32 (which I assume is called the Chorus, idk I'm not familiar with music terms :P) during Whitty's turn, Carol helps out Whitty by backing him up. Then you can see Whitty moving his eyes to Carol, having gained confidence in literally halfway to the song and when the chorus comes up again, Carol doesn't back him up as she knows that Whitty has gained more confidence at this point and the 2 can sing and exchange turns and even sing together a bit seamlessly. Then the climax hits and both Whitty and Carol sing the chorus together thanks to Whitty gaining a lot more confidence and a great way to end the song and Carol decides to throw in some of her own singing into it to spice up the chorus.
this song is my boyfriend and i's happy song! we reviewed the date week together when it was released and it's one of our favourites. seeing whitty and carol together like this in complete wholesomeness and love for each other, it really reminded him and i of our unbreakable bond heh. it's a really special song.
