- According to Memphis police records acquired by the Washington Post, Ja Morant has been accused of repeatedly punching a 17-year-old in the head and threatening him with a gun last summer. The teenager told police that he was hit 12-to-13 times and was left with a knot on the side of his head. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe react to the report.

But the report says the police observed a lump in the boy's head and that Ja admitted to getting his weapon (allegedly in self defense). If Ja and his people are bold enough to walk on NBA courts and threaten team employees with red beams at their head, then it's not hard to believe that they would also be dumb enough to assault a kid at Ja's house or start drama at a Finish Line.

Ja Morant is the most electric young player I’ve seen in a while. He has so much talent and potential for greatness. Regardless of who’s right or wrong in the situation between him and the kid, it’s sad to see that he’s being found in or around situations like this. Regardless of how good his heart might be, it would be a shame to see his career take a turn for the worst because of poor life decisions. He was blessed with abilities that he uses to provide for his family and to entertain the world. I hope this trend doesn’t continue with Ja.

What yall don't recognize is, most athletes are so amazing because they are intrinsically motivated by insecurity. That same insecurity is why they can't allow themselves to be in places where these kinds of situations can occur.
You make a good point. Although it´s not always this way...but often times it is. When you couple that insecurity with youth, then some crazy things can happen. Also when one suddenly has millions, illusions of grandeur take over. The thing is not to even bring yourself in such a position. Although we do not know what really took place as of yet.
