@@villagelocal Many older citizens prefer to keep themselves informed and keep control of their own wellbeing rather than go through undignified hurdles they have to clear to obtain even the minimum amount of help. Many older people who genuinely need max. assistance do not get it because other less needy older people who know how to work the system and work it to their advantage are getting the help that should be given to others.......Biased, inaccurate assessments that can stay on peoples paperwork for remainder of their lives are another consideration.....
