Apparently academy directors have that special something. The first time you bring Iono to the league club she'll ask about something weird in the academy that would be interesting to stream, and you can suggest director Cyrano. She'll dismiss the idea thinking it would be boring, but on the next visit she'll say that he was totally into it and even managed to "steal her thunder"

Same! I was initially feeling iffy about this cast, but just seeing them all bounce off of each other and highlighting their characters might make this the best batch of characters yet!
It's great how far Pokemon has come over the years over developing characters, the DLC really did flesh them out so much more. The interactions are great.
I honestly love how Brassius and Grusha bond in their past experiences in depression. It's especially amusing when Grusha is somewhat annoyed that he's so easy to read, yet admits that Brassius understands him so well through one conversation.
@@spectrum-5 Uhh... If Grusha was legit deep in depression, he wouldn't find some ounce of enjoyment and meaning in his role as a Gym Leader. Also, those who have depression don't tend to blatantly share that they have it. Brassius basically said to Grusha "You have depression" without Grusha having the chance to say anything.

I love that Brassius went and checked out Burgh’s gym. That’s why when he asked for a trade, I gave him a Swadloon that I caught in Kitakami. It makes clothes out of leaves which is a work of art and also Burgh’s ace Pokémon. Just imagine Brassius with a Leavenny. It’s just “avant-garde”.

I haven’t laughed from Pokémon dialogue since I was a little kid. Not because it was bad, just that the funniest jokes could only really make me smile. But for some reason the first character to make me laugh was Larry, the deadpan sarcastic normal type gym leader.

Still, the Dragon Tamer Tribe also tend to play a Major Part in several of the Political Events that occur within the Pokémon World - almost to the Level of a Yakuza Family, with the Level of Commitment the Elders demand of their Descendants to their Training: this is what causes Younger Dragon Tamers like Iris and Drayton to Rebel, taking leave of their Families to Follow their Own path to Dragon Mastery...

Don't forget that Dragon Trainers are usually in the Elite 4 in almost every League or at least the final gym leader you fight. Kinda hard to not be known by peers in similar occupations.

Even Geeta once mentioned the player when she visited BB Academy that she was doing some talking with the Unova League. Perhaps even she would appear in a future game, especially a Unova Remake?
@@nishant9289 I think Larry will show up in Black and White 3, should it actually come out, according to that interaction between him and Geeta. The Unova games has that tournament where past characters can show up. As for Geeta herself, she may but champions appearing outside of their games is rare outside of tournament areas and usually relegated to cameos. That being said the Pokemon company has been doing stuff since Gen 5 that they wouldn't have done in earlier generations. Gen 10 would be the perfect time to have a character from a prior generation being a major character in the story, if Ingo in Legends Arceus isn't counted due to how different that game is from the others.
The PWT was exactly my First Thought when I saw that Line from Geeta - totally in line with her Character, too. If you remember B2W2, the triplets abandoned the gym leader titles because they realized that they weren't strong enough and that they depended too much on each other. So it is possible that they also decided to go on their separate ways and each one made their own restaurant, may Chili made a new restaurant in Virbank, got married and had Crispin. But It could also be that they are just distantly related and Crispin is more of a reference to them that the developers thought would be fun

so poppy is now the youngest confirmed elite four member in the series at the age of nine that's insane kind of like how leon was the youngest confirmed champion in the series at the age of 10 also if she did enroll in the school while all the other kids would be scared of her she would have had nemona at least hell nemona was in the same situations poppy was afraid of so if poppy went to school the two would have been like sisters (too bad for poppy Nemona has found her sister in pokemon masters EX)

~Glad to see Raifort's twitching hair has been addressed and that she regularly engages with the macabre in her fieldwork. ~Rita is adored in-game for her appearance too. ~Crispin has a crush on Lacey but can't spit it out. ~Drayton is 100% down for "stickin' it to the man." ~Grusha was an Iono stan before she got big. I just love Gen IX's cast of characters.
One thing that SV has over the past games is how slice of life-y it is and I love it, it probably has the most wholesome moments/interactions in main game Pokemon in fact I’d love to hear what others favorite slice of life moment from this game was
I liked how in one of Saguaro's classes he mentions that he got a question from a student, and almost gives away that said student is Arven, and you get the chance to ask if it was Arvens name he was about to say. He'll say it wasn't but then slip up towards the end and mention Arven by name anyway😊
Raifort saw how Blair attempted to take her throne as the most sus character in sv and decide to not only take her throne back but also jump into possibly one of the most sus characters in the franchises
I think Geeta was being nice to Larry, but based on my observations, he doesn't like being promoted or something like that, so that's why he's acting like that towards Geeta.

I love how they go all out with the dlc. New mons, new mechanics like synchro and flight, catchable starters...give us new fun characters and fleshing out the old ones with fun interactions.

Raifort *does* send you after the Ruinous Four and gives you a Nasty Plot TM for catching them all. She even says that you can hold on to them...*for now*. She's suspicious AF.
Gamefreak is teasing so much when it comes to Unova references. It would be better if Drayton or Snacksworth will give us hints or expanded lore about the original dragon or complete kyurem by namedrop its name.
so appreciate the video and having most of these conversations in one place!! the writing on these is so good, say what you will about scarlet and violet, but they really put a lot of care into its characters. there is at least one that i know of that wasn't included though, between amarys and lacey. they are absolutely adorable together and i wish that had been here too

I love that Brassius went and checked out Burgh’s gym. That’s why when he asked for a trade, I gave him a Swadloon that I caught in Kitakami. It makes clothes out of leaves which is a work of art and also Burgh’s ace Pokémon. Just imagine Brassius with a Leavenny. It’s just “avant-garde”.

@@nishant9289 I think Larry will show up in Black and White 3, should it actually come out, according to that interaction between him and Geeta. The Unova games has that tournament where past characters can show up.
As for Geeta herself, she may but champions appearing outside of their games is rare outside of tournament areas and usually relegated to cameos. That being said the Pokemon company has been doing stuff since Gen 5 that they wouldn't have done in earlier generations. Gen 10 would be the perfect time to have a character from a prior generation being a major character in the story, if Ingo in Legends Arceus isn't counted due to how different that game is from the others.
The PWT was exactly my First Thought when I saw that Line from Geeta - totally in line with her Character, too.
Though that got me thinking... there were a few General Trainers that showed up in B2W2's PWT - did a Businessman NPC named Larry happen to be among them, as someone One of the SV Devs just HAD to bring back in some way?!

If you remember B2W2, the triplets abandoned the gym leader titles because they realized that they weren't strong enough and that they depended too much on each other. So it is possible that they also decided to go on their separate ways and each one made their own restaurant, may Chili made a new restaurant in Virbank, got married and had Crispin. But It could also be that they are just distantly related and Crispin is more of a reference to them that the developers thought would be fun

Seems some of the gym leaders aren't too familiar with each other example Grusha and Iono, but cool we see interactions example we learn Saguaro is a customer of Katy, and Jacq is a regular of Kofu.
I love how they go all out with the dlc. New mons, new mechanics like synchro and flight, catchable starters...give us new fun characters and fleshing out the old ones with fun interactions.

Remember when everyone thought Clavell would be the major villain? I dont think Raifort will be an evil mastermind but she definately feels like a criminal who would steal valuable things from questionable places.
Raifort *does* send you after the Ruinous Four and gives you a Nasty Plot TM for catching them all. She even says that you can hold on to them...*for now*. She's suspicious AF.
Gamefreak is teasing so much when it comes to Unova references. It would be better if Drayton or Snacksworth will give us hints or expanded lore about the original dragon or complete kyurem by namedrop its name.
Or save that for a potential new legends game

so appreciate the video and having most of these conversations in one place!! the writing on these is so good, say what you will about scarlet and violet, but they really put a lot of care into its characters. there is at least one that i know of that wasn't included though, between amarys and lacey. they are absolutely adorable together and i wish that had been here too
