The second to last song of the previous album is what you can call a song at most compared to the rest which is interesting since I find the second to last song of this album to be the best song on it.
This band is the best music I've heard in a long while! But, random question: I know the guitarist/vocalist is called IX, but how would you say it? As a word, like 'fix' without the 'f'? Or as individual letters, I.X.? Or is it simply just the Roman number 9?
Anyone knows meaning behind the logo or as to what it was inspired or taken from? I see a lot resemblance to symbol of 'Kali'. If anyome knows plesse let me know.
AOTY so far. Varathron, Bong, Ihsahn, Drudkh/Windswept, Onirism and Necrophobic are all strong contenders, but I think Urfaust has a pretty healthy lead for everything I've heard that's out already!
I think the trend of calling some of these new bands (i.e., URFAUST) atmospheric black metal is wrong. No disrespect to Urfaust. I actually loved (and still do) the early concept of the TRUE 'atmospheric black metal' (i.e., The Summoning, Agalloch, Burzum etc.) which always featured 'black metal style vocals' as one of the main features of their sound. Peace.
