I feel a strong 8 for this video. If you would have included Darkcore,Makina and Doomcore. Did some more research on Speedcore and Extratone. And woudn't have putted Hardtechno under Hardcore. I would probably give you a 10. But this is very good compared to 99,9% of all the other video's that talk about this stuff. And confuse like 80% of the Sub-genres with each other. I also like how a huge part of this video is made out of the long Reddit post. Also as far as i know Tekstyle and Subground are still alive. They have just moved to the underground. That doesn't mean that they are dead. No Genre,Sub-genre etc wil ever die. It will just become mainstream,underground (somewhere in between) Or the other way around.
Extratone is actually a really interesting genre, its created by getting a kick or percussion sample and bumping the bpm way up so that it essentially becomes a note. Then you use that sound to make a track, though most of it sounds like utter bullshit, there was this one guy who took a drumsolo and using this method made the same drumsolo with the drumsolo. So you get drumsoloception :D

The future will be bright for UK Hardcore. I can agree that it may be very different from most hardcore subgenres but it takes a lot of energy with hardstyle-ish melodies, I really like it. I hope that there will be a Happy/UK Hardcore stage on Defqon.1

You skipped 2 genres when going from speedcore to extratone 1- splittercore - 600/700 to 1000 BPM, it’s pretty aggressive 2- Suicidecore - 1000-3600BPM, it’s the darkest genre of music I know of, its themes are just horrifying I don’t listen to either of these genres very often, just though I’d mention them ^^ And hypertone - inf. BPM
suicidecore isnt a real genre, speedcore is 300 bpm to 599, splittercore is 600 bpm to 999, extratone is 1000 bpm to 99999, and hypertone is 100000 to inf

Actually the Psy-Style trend was started by Rooler & Sasha F with Number 23, but Syren definitely played a big role in this scene.

Those are called gated kicks, it's not a subgenre of hardstyle, just another type of kick that's used.

I really, really dislike the harder bigroom tracks. the thing about hardstyle is that it's a more close family because it's more of a niche genre than other EDM genres, but with it becoming so popular, I'm afraid it will lose that
