Great video, ilike that you show every single detail on what you doing. This is going to be a guideine when i do mine. I can see why the owner chose you to do the install.
Maybe I missed this in the video but were did you find this jewelry of drivers? When I was 7 my dad purchased a two year old 1975 Datsun 510, 2 door white with black interior and some modification from the previous owner. My uncle was living with us at the time working as a Chevy mechanic at the town delership which was the Datsun deler as well located literally accross the street. He took the car immediately to the garage where mechanics were allowed to have one car project per year for 10 days access to a giant single piston extruding from the ground lift plus 10 days use of a bay with a step down dungeon space. Basically garage types that have been out lawed due to safety. The space was in in a 20 car stall space on the back side no longer used and torn down a year later for a movie theater. So he had 20 days for any and all work for the year he put into my dads car as rent and food while living with us. Custom cromo driveshaft with cromo drive shaft protective loops installed under floorboard, 5 point 2 1/2" roll cage installed with a low X between front and rear so I could still climb in back. @@cowboy072369 that’s a great question! With the Air Lift 3P and 3H systems, the air pressure sensors for the tank and each air bag are built into the valve manifold. So you only need a single line from the tank- no external sensors required.
@@twistedimages405 Thankyou . That I have no idea. From all the videos I have watched with someone using the Airlift system . No one that I can remember ever said that. I learned something new today. Nice job 👏 👍 looks good. Riviera is sitting nice. I like that blue metallic. Bud have you checked out my friends shop. They make their own bags and kits for just about anything. THEIR NAME IS UNIVERSAL AIR SUSPENSION IN SAN BERNARDINO CALIFORNIA. REALLY COOL PEOPLE 😎 👌 👍 HAVE A BLESSED DAY 🙌
Their airbags are narrow that will save you time cutting the frame. If you happen to call, them them Martin with the impalas send you . Keep posting those videos 📹 👌
@@Impalabelair we go with a larger diameter bag on the front of heavy cars to hit ride height at a lower pressure- we’re riding around between 70 and 85 psi versus over 100 with a smaller bag, so it’s worth the cutting on the big bodies!
You get the hang of it pretty quickly. In my experience the trickiest parts are making left hand turns through intersections, and also on most JDM cars the turn signal and wiper control stalks are reversed so I’d constantly turn on the wipers when I made a left turn haha
We offer several different air management packages, depending on your budget and how fancy you want the controls to be. Here’s a link to the kits on our website- let me know if you have any questions! www.twistedimages.com/68-73-510_c_635.html
nice hardtop. don't you dare cheat and use 610 trailing arms on her for more wheelbase. the SCCA and IMCA are wise to that trick, and you'll know youve been a bad boy. just kidding- enjoy and get yourself some nice chairs and restraints. you can use the aluminum Z-car drums to save weight- you just have to roll the backing plate lip out to create a little room.
This car gets driven by the owner all the time- it was never destined for track days but he still enjoys the heck out of it. He has a 2 door sedan with a built L-series that will get driven in anger when he’s in the mood though! They don’t ALL need to be turned into race cars…
And it goes right back up to a reasonable driving height at the touch of a button. And rides smoother than any 510 on coilovers. But hey, keep living in the last century and build your Datsun the way you want- there’s room for everyone in this community
You’ve obviously never driven one on air, because the ride is spectacular and still sporty. And you also clearly didn’t watch the video where it shows that everything is 100% reversible if a future owner wants to make a race car out of it. Thanks for contributing exactly nothing to the conversation though. ✌️

The Coupe interior is definitely a step above what we got here in standard 510s!

I think there’s enough travel either way to keep them out of bind- as long as they match from passenger side to driver I won’t judge!
