- Street Food in TURKEY - In this video, I will take you on an insane street food tour in Erzurum where I'm going to show you why this city is the meat heaven of Turkey.
To start our level 9999 street food tour in Erzurum, we went to a local joint to have the breakfast of the champion here in Turkey, Ayak paca.
For lunch, we went to have a level 9999 street food in Turkey, purple sheep doner, and a crunchy cheesy pide.
After that, the reason why we came to Erzurum, Cağ kebab. Erzurum is definitely the meat heaven of Turkey.
Before dinner, we decided to take a break by having a classic Turkish coffee inside an old Ottoman house.
To end our level 9999 street food tour in Erzurum, we went to have an insane Iskender kebab.

Turkish cuisine is the richest and the best one in the world, there are various amazing and delicious Turkish foods. But the sad thing is; people do not know Turkish cuisine (or they only know kebap and baklava). Turks should find the way to advertise their rich culture to the entire world.

Damn you, Max. I'm sitting at home with an empty stomach, waiting to go to a kebab restaurant and yet all I can think about now is that İskender kebab. I can only imagine how good it was; you killed me with the İskender kebab. I can't wait for your Trabzon episode. I would love to see you visit Spain or Italy, but if you want to go somewhere a little less travelled, Azerbaijan might be worth considering, and Georgia (if only for the beautiful mountain scenery). 👍🏼✌🏼🕊️

Turkish cuisine dishes are very special, delicious, especially Ordu Trabzon ,Malatya Hatay Antalya Muğla Elazığ Diyarbakır Adana, Gaziantep,Kars Erzurum Edirne, Çorum Maraş Balıkesir don't go without eating the fried liver and the wonderful dishes of other cities I can't count.

Max, you are in the heart of "horizontal döner (çağ kebap)" territory. The northeastern part of Türkiye is home to çağ kebap. Though Erzurum claims to be the origin of this delicacy, its northern neighbor, and my native town, Artvin also contests the title. There is a famous çağ döner restaurant in Ardanuç district of Artvin: Ersin Dede Çağ Kebap (Adres: Merkez, Hükümet Cd. 41/A, 08300 Ardanuç/Artvin.) I strongly recommend you visit it if it's possible. Here is a rule of thumb: when it is vertical, it is "döner, when it is horizontal, it is "çağ kebap". Bon appetite!
