How do you figure the offensive line concerns are gone. These guys are rookies. People think they’re just gonna come in and play well. They’re still one of my biggest concerns.
Exactly. Let’s say the rookies perform well enough to start…. that would still mean that the three most important positions along the OL have a combined one year of NFL experience to work with just two vets at either G spot. As far as the TE position for 12 personnel, one with only a year of experience and the other being a fairly poor blocker-especially in pass protection. This OL looks to be heading in the right direction but they have a lot to prove.
@@KJS412 - this is a QB that takes frequent sacks and frequently puts the ball on the ground. I think the better decision making will show up in the red zone but there are still aspects of his game that are a concern.

The biggest thing I have seen mentioned for Fields that is the easiest fix is that his footwork can be slow in his drop back. Justin got away with his mechanics problems because Ohio State played a very weak Big 10 schedule and the teams they played outside the Big 10 were weak programs. It’s easy to succeed when your receivers are far better than their defenders, guys are wide open and frequently your first option is wide open. You can’t say he was great in college so he should be great in the pros. It doesn’t automatically translate. Kurt Warner did many videos on his TH-cam channel where he broke down Justin’s games tapes. He pointed out many, many times where Justin’s throwing mechanics and his poor decision making were causing turnovers and bad results on plays. It’s all there on tape! If you followed the Chicago media at all you found many stories of his problems. At a post game press conference, midway through his last season there, Justin said he thought the problems he was having was because of coaching. He said they were giving him too much to think about and he wasn’t playing freely. He then said he was going to ignore all of the coaching and do his own thing. Nick Foles said that he tried to help him and Justin wouldn’t pay attention and ignored him. The coaches were trying, very hard over and over again to try to teach him better mechanics but Justin didn’t like it because he said it made him think too much. What Justin was doing initially was doing his own thing and it wasn’t working. He had obvious mechanical errors that were causing a lot of his inaccurate throws and the coach’s addressed them but it never translated to Justin making those corrections during games. He always reverted back to his old habits which weren’t working in the pros. Guys are always covered and are seldom wide open. Defenses change up a lot after the snap and Justin couldn’t read the field or trust what he did see. They tried everything with Justin in Chicago, it didn’t work. Why do you think no other team in the league wanted hm? Are all of the staffs, throughout the whole league stupid? Are they unable to look at game tape and make an accurate evaluation of a player? Is every staff in the league stupid? Justin got traded for next year’s fourth round pick. That’s all Chicago could get for him! Justin has a great deal of ability but he has to humble himself, accept his limitations, accept coaching and make the needed corrections to his game.
Did Kurt Warner, also tell you that with those so-called bad mechanics, Justin lead his team to the CFP twice and once to the National Championship, beating Trevor "Sunshine" Lawrence, along the way.
