Just yesterday, I ordered my first Lotus mouthpiece. Played on a direct competitor's since 2013 now, and I have fully outgrown it and Trumpet has not been fun for over a year now. I have researched Lotus for almost 1 year now! I have likely watched nearly every 'findable' Lotus video on the interest from recent years + rewatched some. Following this, since January, I have been back and forth on Instagram with many folks who help customers! Got me narrowed down, now it's up to me to decide through play-feel, when the delivery is fulfilled. This particular video ABSOLUTELY solidified my purchase. I LOVED this video, and I am so damn excited that I ordered yesterday.
Just bought a 3M to play second trumpet in my commercial style horn band. We cover Tower of Power, Chicago, Stevie Wonders, EWF, and such. Can’t wait to try it out!
Hi Im from the Philippines, been watching your contents, and have learned a lot from Lotus Trumpets, especially from sir Adam Rapa. I have a Beginner trumpet and a customized Generic 7C mouhpiece. I want to improve more as a player and be like Sir Adam Rapa, but finance has been a problem for me to purchase or upgrade my instrument.
I’ve been playing on a Lotus 3L , pre-Covid and I can honestly say it has improved my tone quality and middle, upper register tone as well. Actually I practice some on a lead pipe made by Bach, TR 500 and that was crazy how much better that mouthpiece played trough that single lead pipe. I still enjoy the Bach 3C at times but the Lotus is my daily driver. Get one you will enjoy the experience Thanks Adam
Not quite. I believe a more fair understanding of his statements is that the majority of the current pro brands(bach, yamaha, stomvi, etc) play with varying levels of out of tune harmonic series and less stable dynamic range. I personally have found this to be an accurate statement. Players familiar with the flaws of the modern equipment are likely already aware of the companies that have made an effort to correct the equipment flaws like Monette, Harrelson and maybe some I'm not aware of.
@Selective-indifference go listen to stomvi spokeperson, he swears that his horns are made to be in tune. I can say the same for lots of top trumpet brands. All of them are claiming their horns are standouts 🤷🏾♂️It's a competition, it's marketing. Adam is a great salesman. What a way to convince better when you are a topnotch trumpet player. 🤓🎺
I mean he's not wrong the tuning c on my bach ab190s stad is so sharp. This compared to my Dad's 200 dollar student trumpet is atrocious. But hey only spend 400 on it cause I got it from a friend
Adam Rapa demonstrating is my favourite kind of content.

Now even more - I want to buy a Lotus mouthpiece!
Got one. Good but nothing exceptional.
Lotus gotta catch them all! Great and awesome mouthpieces.

Amazing learning here❤❤❤
This video perfectly explains why I have four lotus mouthpieces 😅 3XL2B,3L2N,3MB and 3M2NHC!! B=bronze
I enjoy my L2 very much. The turbowood is absolutely beautiful on your lips.
So happy to hear you are enjoying it!

So happy to hear you are enjoying your 3L!
This video is correct.
Very good and detailed demonstration. I fell in love with the Lotus mourhpieces. Does anyone know what trumpet did Adam use in this video?
Lotus trumpets average about $5,000.
Bravo. Cuando venís a España de nuevo?
Im buying this

So accoding to Adam lotus is the only equipment that plays in tune and accurately.

Ну как вы играете ия-ия-ия-ия?
the yellow bottle in the background💀
Imagine practicing trumpet 20 years to affirm that Bach trumpet is out of tune. I mean, we are talking about Bachs legacy
What trumpet case does Mr. Rapa use?
One that doesn't affect intonation
@@stradivarius151😂
Bro what is that piece at 16:50 I just cant remember the name of it
it's the very beginning of Mahler's 5th Symphony
@@jojnokirk8035 thank you so much

What song is played at 16:10
Theo Charlier’s trumpet etude no. 2
Anyone know what app Adam is using for the drone at the beginning of the video?
That would be iTabla Pro /Henrik
Thanks!
Does anyone know the tune at 16:29?
the nearness of you
it may be the recording, but that sound isn't exactly what I want to hear when I hear a trumpet... 🎺
Same, I am not really used to hearing some notes actually in tune. It’s even more obvious on a C trumpet.
Por que todo trompetista é viciado em notas agudas?
Love ya Adam, but it's no different than any other pro horn or MP
If you really are a scientist the pitch tests should be done by an independant tester. That is the basic of scientific approach.
