just a guess but Zanaris invites other "creatures" to the city. So its possiable that humans where once invited into the City but than the Babarians smashed the Cosmic altar and humans got banned.
Fun fact, in Runescape classic Magic was the toughest skill to train as runes werent commonly dropped and you could only buy them from stores. There were shortages of runes as there wasnt a runecrafting skill yet
This is utterly fantastic! Having Runescape lore brought to us in this way is perfection. Ive been playing this game since I was young and this is the first time i've seen Runescape lore gone over in such a way. Honestly this has excited me into logging back in after a couple month break.
Hostilius was the ruler of the cthonian demons (basically all the lovecraftian type demons like duke Sucellus and abby demons), back before the Avernics (K'ril, lesser demons, etc.) rose against them under Zamorak's rule. He struck a deal with Zaros, but tried to trick him and failed, swearing fealty and granting him his demonic armies for his invasion of Gielinor for nothing in return. After Zamorak's betrayal, he lead the Avernic rebellion in Infernus (much like how the Cthonians once rose against the Infernals) and those who survived were exiled into the Abyss, with Hostilius presumably still alive but stuck between worlds.
80 rc here i love rune crafting. it's useful in all aspects of the game and in the world. they are myth recreated. genuinely magical rock imbued, by you, to use, to make magic! it's literally amazing and you help rediscover it. it was my first 99 on my original account and it'll be my first 99 on osrs too
Useful my ass! To an ironman sure, but to a main acc or skiller even, it's probably the least useful skill to level in the entire game. Here's a multitude of reasons why; One: You can just buy runes from the ge. Two: Why would you ever want to go through the hassle of making them (unless you're an ironman)? Three: It's hardly useful at all, and provides no purpose other than for quest requirements and again, ironman accounts. Four: It's just another skill that's shitty to level up (takes a long time to level) like slayer, agility, or thieving. (At least THESE skills actually serve somewhat of a purpose.) Five: All it does really is keep players from becoming maxed accounts to get their max capes because for whatever stupid reason, they need ALL the skills to be leveled up, including this shit. So no, I don't want to see a comment saying "This is the best skill ever." It's fine to have an opinion, I think it's definitely unique that you like Runecrafting, I'm fine with that, but for you to make up some bald faced lie to convince others to try this crappy skill, that's NOT ok. It'd be one thing if you said something like this; "I want you guys to give this skill a try, and if you don't like it, then oh well," but nooo, you have to act like it's so important that people level it up. Not only would most people find it immensely boring, but also they would realize that you lied to them and want to fucking blow a fuse with you. Honestly bro, I could care less wtf you reply back to me with, chances are it's gonna be a load of shit like this comment is. (P.S: If you're talking about it being useful in the story of Runescape, then that's cool. If you're talking about it being useful in general, please, think of something better to say to back up your claim, because your biased opinion of Runecrafting helps nobody.)
@@Thund_rStruck I was talking about the discovery of rune crafting altars in Glienor. I think it's cool lore explanation as to why magic works the way it does. literally what is going on inside your mind to produce that much bile when someone says "I like this thing"

00:12 tru tru, my mom often told me it was rune essence that. Brought me into this world. I never really understood it until I played runescape and it all made sense. Runecrafting is love, runecrafting is life.
What about the lore behind Daeyalt essence? How did that get discovered and what's its purpose in the world of Gilenor? Also the Blood Essence mine, and how GOTR links together with everything too? Can you make a video explaining these? Runecrafting is my favorite skill so this came as a surprise on my feed. Loved the way you told the story
@@Thund_rStruck definitely at least slayer has the added benefit of training combat and the possible rare drop, runecrafting though is just mind numbing

molenko is so close to milenko which just brings me right back to insane clown posse. the true power of rune is juggalos essence. its like magic. magnent how do they work.
Once you get into a rhythm it honestly goes by pretty quick. If you hit 77 and just wanna chill bloods are a good option, RC is legit easy mode at that point

still wondering how the barbarians got to the dang moon to destroy the altar there.
just a guess but Zanaris invites other "creatures" to the city. So its possiable that humans where once invited into the City but than the Babarians smashed the Cosmic altar and humans got banned.
They jumped.
I find it fascinating that the barbarians went on anti-magic crusades, coupled with the fact that they tend to drop rare runes.
Fun fact, in Runescape classic Magic was the toughest skill to train as runes werent commonly dropped and you could only buy them from stores. There were shortages of runes as there wasnt a runecrafting skill yet
Another fun fact, runes owned were doubled going from RuneScape Classic to RS2
Spells also gave twice the XP in classic compared to now
I remember picking runes from spawns for hours cause it was good gp/h 😂
im so glad runecrafting exists so i can keep existing

the true legacy V left behind
aka getting smoked halfway through the same quest he first appears in rs3 lmao

most important skill? clearly summoning
Lol.
Great video! Please tell me more about the abyss! I'm super interested
I was hoping for another upload from you, glad to see i was right
You know what other skill was necessary for human dominance? Cooking!
Cooking is more useful than runecrafting.
Hit points is the most important skill.
Kinda true tbh, but I'd also have to say prayer is equally as important due to certain bosses you face against.
Plus, some of the prayers can be used for things OTHER than combat, so prayer is like a multi-tool type of skill.
