Very well organized and clear exposition of the subject matter, Andy. I had never heard a breakdown of ink costs re production of prints before, which given I have people do my printing for me and leave the "lifting" to them, is not surprising - but it's good to know. Of course, that doesn't factor in the $100,000.00 printer cost!
UV ink can have a noticeable odor, especially when it's curing under UV light, but most modern UV inks are designed to be safe when used correctly. The smell usually dissipates quickly after curing. As for health, UV inks are generally considered safe, but it's important to use them in a well-ventilated area and follow the manufacturer’s safety guidelines, such as wearing protective gear if needed and avoiding direct skin contact.
Thanks for being so clear about the costs. Very helpful.
Glad you found it helpful!
