Gotta be honest. I was expecting that saw to crack and jam.
I'm impressed it actually did a good job. I just paid $20 for one 3" hole saw.

Great video Kev - I bought the diamond style hole saw set from HF thinking they might last a bit longer but first try and the arbor set screw snapped off it seemed very weak at that point they did cut good but I later learned (mrpete) that these have to run very slow just the way you did it so I think my problem was I was running it just WAY to fast I was drilling a 2" hole in a stainless steel food table and boy did it heat up lol Thanks for posting this video Now I just have to figure out how to run these slower out in the field-Two Thumbs Up !!

I've had good luck with tools from both Tractor Supply, and Harbor Freight. With the internet, you can research most items before you buy it. Merry Christmas my friend, be well.

What kind of oil did you use?

An inch and an eighth diameter bit you should run no faster than 360 RPM. After you cut your pipe rotate it 90 degrees and look at the pipe. Then you should see that two angled straight cuts will saddle a piece of pipe. Just a quirk of cylindrical geometry. Weird I know.

Harbor Freight has no idea how to heat treat metal. Cut 50 holes than review them.

SatGuy I don’t understand what you missed in this video? He cut one hole said it worked good. Said if he used them every day he’d probably buy a better set.
