really like the worldbuilding here, quite a unique idea to merge solar punk with magic. anyways here i give some ideas: since the world is an alderson disk, or at least the size of one, this means that the enviroment itself is leagues bigger than here on earth, this could mean, forest that could cover billions of squared miles, leaving rainforest such as the amazon rainforest to be nothing more than a moderate size forest, this could also mean creatures so big that it would leave the biggest animals here on earth, such as the blue whale or the argentinosaurus, as nothing more than mice in comparison, animals, so big that they would not be measured in meters, but in kilometers, such as the ones that carl sagan described could be living in gas giants, for example, a forest so vast that traversing it takes decades or centurys, inside of such forest, hundreds on nations reside, each as big as the biggest nations here on earth, the trees there, as tall as the sky, reaching into the clouds (imagine a forest made of erdtrees) the animals and yama there as big as moving mountains, and so on. in short, i would suggest to ad a bigger sence of scale to world a feeling that nature is almost infinite in comparison. another thing I would love you to tackle is the creation of modern technologies in that world, for as in our world, the industrial revolution helped a lot in the creation of modern technologies and their distribution, but here, that might as well be somewhat impossible, so an alternative should be there, a solution that permiates on my head is the use of magic as a replacement of the industrail revolution, not only conecting mages more into technology at large, but also conecting technology by definition into nature, this could also mean that there could be way more advanced technology in this world compared to ours, but it should also be very scarce, and modern day technology would also be scarcer than in this world. another point to tackle here would also be cities, as I currently imagine them not being very populated and with a lot greenery, but it could also be cities carved from giant trees, or nomadic cities which are so big that to not disrupt the local ecosistem and anger the yama, or flee thier encounters, have to move, this could be very much like in the movie and book of mortal engines, or more ecofriendly and utopian in the sence that each house/building could move by itself, another option could be using the kilometric gigafauna previously mention, building entire cities in the back of one. anyways, hope this can help.
Absolutely amazing ideas, these are all things I have definitely considered to be in Ormauk! In fact, I have unreleased artwork of these megafauna and erdtree forests that you were referring to. Additionally, I definitely want to explore more of the settlements within Ormauk and the people living in it. Can't wait to draw more!
Iit is so funny to watch this being a brazilian because our trasferention method is called PIX, so the name PYX is very fitting for me lol. Great video, love your world building!
Great and well though out currency. I love the technology aproach combined with magic. So you both get the "creditstick" and the "magic-globes" that are one and the same :) I would imagine that in such a big world besides the useful and universal Pyx there would be many curriencies and policices. Some where barter is king, others with some fiat money. Some where inside the community everything is free. If no one is using something, then you can take it and use it, as it's a property of the whole social group not a single person. If you are hungry you go where the food is produced and eat. If you are a stoneworker people ask you for work (personal or for the community), or you make things and when someone needs them, they can come to you and choose what they need/want etc. With outsiders they use regular barter and with those that use currency they use their collectives collection of that currency.
