This is all great for specific spot colors, and I have not trouble with pallet colors, but what about color bitmap images that have multiple colors that are not printing correctly? The reds are printing orange and I don't know how to fix that.

    Hi Mark,
When adjusting the "Color Settings" under the In Input Profile tab where it is normally US Web Coating, I have a Roland _CMYK option. Do you recommend using that?

Excuse me, Could you introduce how to apply the spot color which we create on the new job? If client ask us print the pantone color, how to choose the spot color to print it?

I bought a Polaris Contour Plotter and it came with Fexi 10 (Flexi Starter Cutting Pro Edition). I noticed from the videos that I do not have "Bitmap" in my menu. Do I need to upgrade? Please advise. I also sent an email with the same query. Thank you!

+Daddy Rodger Yes, FlexiSTARTER has very limited functionality. If you're looking to do more, contact your reseller for more information on higher levels of Flexi.

+SA International Thank you for the prompt response. I am not sure if the store where I bought my cutter is connected with your company. Kindly direct me where I can get an upgrade version here in the Philippines? Again, thank you so much!

sai don't offer any ICC profile for HP latex 360 😞

It's very easy to get ICC profiles for your HP Latex printer in FlexiSIGN. Profiles for your HP Latex 360 (or any other Latex 300 or 500 series printer) is different than shown in this video. HP has their own online ICC profile archive for those printers, which you can access directly in FlexiPRINT. Here are the steps: th-cam.com/video/9vvXktZyX3s/w-d-xo.html

I've tried for years to find mine, but it's not out there. Mimaki CJV30-130, 3M IJ35C-10. I've tried 3M, Mimaki, and SAi.

What if your soft proof button doesn't do anything? I'm thinking this version of Flex 12 is broke. It's not worked properly since I installed it.

in the printer section of the color settings it will not let me choose anything.. its stuck on cmyk and a profile of COATEDFOGRA39. I can select add, but once I navigate to my profiles it wont let me choose one of my own. I suspect because I haven't given it a printer to define from.. any help ?

Flexi has THE WORST color management! I've been trying for 2 weeks to get colors HALFWAY close to Versaworks and I can't!! No matter what I do or what video I watch, there's no way to get good colors like Versaworks. Your system is way too complicated and I've been printing for over 20 years!! This should be easy for people just starting out and it's NOT! Dumb it down a little SAI.

Interesting comment since thousands of users have no issues at all. In addition you are not being very specific. What do you mean by “good colors”? Have you taken the eCourse on using Flexi with Versaworks? Flexi has superior color management functions when used correctly. Again thousands find this to be so. What version are you using? What printer? What media and ink? What color management settings? Sound like you need some personal assistance. If you want that why not try www.adendo.com and perhaps get a professional to assist you?

@@ThinkSAiSoftware Interesting response which if Flexi was just a little bit easier to use, thousands more would probably be using it. (Which I can back up by the countless posts on forums I've read, slamming Flexi for it's color problems and how complicated it is)
I may be a dummy sometimes but I'm no idiot and Flexi can make any seasoned veteran feel like a total idiot. I've used Flexi since it was a $3500 piece of software for cutting but out of necessity, I've had to learn to use it to print and cut. We have an ancient workhorse Roland XC540 which has been having a cropmark locating issue, so I've had to resort to using Flexi to print/cut. I also have 3 other machines (a Roland XR640 and a Roland plotter and Summa plotter) so I though:, why not start using Flexi to run everything? Huge learning curve over VW (which is really, "printing for dummies") and so it took a few days of trial and error (and much more error) due to other Flexi issues. But I digress. VW is obviously built to be plug and play (printing for dummies), and Flexi is not, since it's designed for so many other pieces of equipment. I've watched multiple videos, some good, some bad, with very little success. Only by trial and error and going against what was said in another video, I finally found success getting decent colors. (Oh, and I'm using IJ175, Bordeaux CMYKlclm inks FYI) Still not as great as the colors from VW but it's working. I can send you a photo if you'd like to show the superior colors that VW has over Flexi. (Probably why thousands keep using VW for printing.) As far as the personal assistance goes, I've been emailing back and forth with an SAI tech for over a week trying to figure out why Flexi won't find the 3rd cropmark on print/cut jobs. He's basically been zero help, so I'm back to doing my own investigating on why this isn't working. So, my faith in SAI "personal assistance" isn't my first go-to now. The videos SAI has are fairly decent, yet the person doing them seems to wander and without a person actually printing, it's hard to trust that the video is correct. That being said, there was one that I did watch, was incorrect. I had to waste about 8 feet of material to finally say "F it!" and change a setting that went against what the video presenter was teaching and guess what. Bingo! Colors actually are acceptable now! So yeah, I can be a dummy but I'm no idiot. So today, I'll have to do some more trial and error to figure out (which a video of SAI's did touch on and the tech has yet to) why my Roland GX640 plotter and Flexi can't find the 3rd cropmark. Maybe I'll start making some videos to show people how to actually use Flexi and I'll video myself printing so people can trust that the information is correct.
      Cheers!
