NO LIsten Again. That song was when the Preacher gave the bible he gave it to the whore. Because on of the four on the bus that was "searching for lost souls" He showed her the better way in life and her son at the end of the song was was the one telling the story. Love you guys! Do more Hardy!!!
if you heard (it took me a few watches to hear him) when he first got there, his dad told him his momma was inside. I love how the whole song evolves into him being born to save her, both actually and figuretively. Like, God chose him to save him. i don't know if I'm making any sense though.

This song hits me hard, when I was 22 I had a drunken one night stand, flash forward to 2 years later and I see the girl again and she tells me that one night stand led to her getting pregnant. Imagine my shock to find out I'm a father, I asked if I could meet my child and she informs me that she gave it up for adoption, I have a son out there that I'd love to have, he's 15 now and I don't even know where he is or what he looks like.
Women please even if it's a one night thing and you want nothing to do with the father still tell him, maybe he'll be like me and be willing to step up and be a father, the guy deserves the chance to be a man, don't take that away from him.

Hey man- I think y’all have a great eye/ear for good lyrics and good music... but country music has a lot better to offer lyrically than this. Stuff you’re impressed with in this song would just be any other line with many other song writers.
I listen to country in my personal life lol! It is my favorite type of music! Luke combs is the GOAT!
