It's always such a contrast between the older Ultramen and the new ones. The oldies have less flashy techniques and tools yet that never stopped them from showing the new generation Ultras that they were no less effective than them.
Some OG Ultraman abilities are OP, unfortunately underused due to how broken they are, such as telekinesis but also not as iconic. Experience also is one of the deal breakers. Ace using one of his beams while moving forward with his shield just shows how much the new ultras can learn about how to utilize their skills as efficiently as possible. Of course, due to plot, ultras can’t always be that smart but it’s always nice to see it when done
It's balanced out by the fact the new generation never think of themselves as better than the older Ultramen, even Taiga, who just wanted to be seen as someone *other* then Taro's son. Many of them are well aware how strong and powerful the oldies are since most they had to learn about them, like how Ginga, Victory and X all recognized Seven on sight in Orb's movie.

there is an episode on taiga which had return jack in a ”special“ way I think that is the best return tbh as taiga fought the same monster as Jack did back in the 90s and that is clasic

Ace is the foremost expert on this type of Kaiju, and Zett admits to having never fought one before. Parents are naturally protective of their kids, and Ace was shown to be the most parental of all the Ultra Brothers, long before Seven was revealed to be a father himself. Even his two hosts were shown to be connected to children.
And the fact he’s fighting one of the villains from his episode 14,it reminds me of that same fight an the part where he used the top of the monster’s head to stab him and cut the head off

Yet Z lost first because as described by Zero, he still have a long way to go when it comes to skill. While Ultra Bros may not be powerful as Super Ultra, their skill and experience has more than make up for it!
This is one of the most obvious thing of note I've read, and it makes perfect sense. It's really nice when others give proper and thoughtful observations on the series.

Often times in a direct confrontation like this , the stronger ones will always prevail. People will especially overlook this scene and think "wow Ace is so much stronger than the noob Z" just because this is a kid show, so they will take anything they saw on screen at face value. (in fact a lot of pple do think Ace > Z Delta Rise Claw, which, with proper observation, is clearly not)
Honesty Showa Ultra Brothers pretty much are as strong as Super Ultras, one of them can equal a common new gen final form. And people still think Tsub mistreats them lol

This is intended by the director. He want to keep as more the voice of old actors as possible. They are already in 70-80s and actor of Jack just passed away, proving the director is correct.
The more I looked at Ultraman Z - 2nd transformation, he looks a lot like a newly improved Ultraman Zearth. I know they are two different Ultraman but it looks so familiar.

The plot of Ultraman Z is also really similar to Zearth's second movie. The main hero is an inexperienced Ultraman with a forward-facing crest whose name begins with Z? Check (and in Hebikura's case they're actually the same character) The MC knows karate, and is shown going through intense training to defeat an enemy? Check The main Ultra goes into a beam clash with the final boss, and overpowers it after yelling to increase his beam output? Check The main Ultraman gets a red eye after losing a fight? Check (though it happened in the crossover movie with Trigger)

It's likely if Z knew the attacks the Chojin could pull off, he'd have had a better chance, but because Haruki was in a rush and Windon got taken down so quickly, he didn't get much time to observe. While Ace knew every trick it could pull off, Z and Haruki had no clue, or else they likely would have started with a Belialrok finisher to overpower the Chojin's attack and let them get in close. It's good storytelling while respecting both Z and Ace.
