Professor Dame Louise Richardson on the Philanthropic Pursuit of "Real and Permanent Good"

On October 13, 2022, the Carnegie family of institutions celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy during a private ceremony in New York City. During the event, Professor Dame Louise Richardson, who will join Carnegie Corporation of New York as its 13th president in January 2023, spoke about the opportunity and obligation of philanthropists to use wealth wisely and to act with speed and flexibility, unhindered by partisanship, and with an eye toward helping those who are being overlooked.
